Rune waks up after a restless sleep looking out the window to see the sun starting to rise. With a yawn and a streatch he forces himself to get up, this is not a day to sleep in. After the guardian and the other fellow he met Rune decided to be a little cautious.
Casting Ephemeral Shield spending a point of mana to make it last all day

Before he the privacy of his room Rune decided to do a little bit of Research quickly he cast Spirit tongue

He glances around the room to see if there are any spirit in twilight.

Rune's little room wavers a bit as his Spirit Sight goes up, like dunking your head into clear water with your eyes open.
And then the feeling of the place fades into grays and dull earth tones. It would be impossible to describe the change to a Sleeper, it simply isn't a matter of any of the mundane senses.
Rune looks out over the translucent spiritual denizens of the room, and it is immediately noticeable that their prevailing nature is weariness. They probably eke out their existence by feeding on the dreary emotions of tired, lonely travelers. A strange, flat, ugly thing is draped over the chair in the corner; a mockery of the coat we throw off after a long day. It moans softly complaints about lack of weekend overtime benefits.
On the bed, tiny almost humanoid figures with holes where their faces should be move in sluggish mechanical routines, hoping to mimic the Humans who have come and gone through.
Some sit, legs hanging off the corner in lonely sadness, while not a small few have paired off to joylessly reenact the visits of... less respectable patrons.
The only other wakeful spirit is the TV, which makes sense as it is the only true focal point in the room. But it's such a bad idea to get involved with at television spirit, they always take more from you than you give.

Although there is no spirit worth his time Rune does find the sight of normal spirits comforting, letting him know that what ever is going on here has at least not bled over to the shadow world. Dismissing his spell he feels almost out of place as he looks upon an empty spiritless room.
"Alright, no time to sit around I have to get out of here." He says to himself as he begins packing up his stuff. He manages to pack up rather quickly and does one last scan of the room, not wanting to leave anything behind for those damn guardians. If they were serious enough to send a man like that Niles to his place they would be dogging his trails.
Packing light was a smart move on my part he thinks to himself as he locks the door and heads down to check out.
After checking out he steps outside and looks around quickly realizing he is practically blind to other mages like this and he quickly cast Supernal Vision on himself.

The difference in resonance between indoors and out is stark.
First of all, the hectic transit of motorists generates a thick fog of impatience, consumption, and a taste of Industry.
But more importantly to Rune, he notices that the Guardian Niles had been none too gentle last night when he ripped passage from this hotel to wherever he went next. A vague sense of being lost can be felt, and things appear to have a residual double-image.
Looking down, Rune also spots an Abyssal maggot or two squirm on the pavement still, shriveled and twitching.
Rune finds it difficult not to wonder why the hell a Guardian would be so recklessly tempting paradox in the open.
But first Rune moves to check out. Where next?

The guardians seem to be breaking their own rules he thought as he took in Niles work
Rune knew he needed to get some help so his first stop would have to be the museum again to see what Dr. Primoria could tell him. Stepping out to the curb he hailed a cab and "museum please" he said to the driver
Once he arrives at the museum he takes a look around before entering to see if his supernal vision can pick up anything unusual.

The most immediately noticeable feature of the Museum is that the area around it is mostly devoid of ambient magickal energy. It's a little unnatural. You almost noticed it last time you were here.
The number and strength of Wards over the Museum have increased significantly since yesterday as well.
There are people milling about out along the sidewalk, but few turn to enter the museum. A hotdog stand vendor and a homeless Vet are working the Pedestrians.
Roll Wits+Streetwise
To notice that the vendor + homeless are Sleepwalkers checking the crowds rather intently.

A closer examination reveals that the man has two protective wards on his person. It looks like one belongs to the Practice of Shielding, the other Weaving.
It's difficult to tell which Arcana are involved, but it is several.
The man himself does not appear to have any magickal aptitude of his own.
At the desk of the clerk:
"Mr Rune, good to see you again. I'm afraid that Ms Primordia is busy today, but you have a meeting arranged with the Staff Chief."
She continues, "We're all a little rattled at something that happened earlier today, so please excuse us. Mr Starling runs most of the day to day affairs, so he should be out to speak with you as soon as he can."
