LOL LOL LOL

Wow, I didn't realize my Carebear of doom was causing such a stir.

However, onto the subject at hand. I very much like the fact that the PCs are bringing this up, because I was planning on having a bit of a round table when I got back, and look! It started without me! Man I love having competent PCs! Love you guys.

Alright, I have read through this thread, and I like (most) of what I am seeing.

Ritual Casting of Body control is insane. Easy limit for Body Control is max successes limited to Life dots.

Points at West to chime in for balance issues.

Suggestions: (I have seen theses some where before)

Extended Action rolls will be limited to a number equal to your Gnosis. This includes ritual castings and Scrutiny.

Rote die pools will be limited to 3X your Gnosis, if the pool is over 8.

Ambient (free) Mana at a Hallow can only be used in an amount equal to your Gnosis.

Puissant Skill and Willful process are upped to 3 dot spells and cost Mana.

I have examined these at length and I agree with the balancing of these house rules implictiliy, except in the case of Rote Die Pools. In my view, Rotes are supposed to be routes to power and crutches for those who cannot just wing a spell out their sleeve every time they need it. Since a large selection of Rotes require varying core traits and skills, this encourages characters to invest some of their energy in their characters outside of the magic the character possesses. However, I will be keeping a far more watchful eye on certain incoming die pools.

My thesis to you all, is I really want you to have fun. I also want the other people on the forums to be able to have fun with you. To this end, I will be implementing the above suggested rules, except for the Rote rule. I also, will be shortly talking with you all about mana usage which was one other thing that has come up as being somewhat...difficult to manage. Thank you all. If you have any other thoughts, I will be keeping my eyes on this thread. Or send PM, whichever you like.

When Rune walked out into the fog....met some guy who was all wigged out then BAMN back in his room and somebody pounding on his door if my memory serves me correct.

But my opinion is he never left the room the first time.....it was all in his head.......

And if the all powerfull Magi are afraid of Satan's Play Mate (Teddy Ruxpin) Then the other venues had better watch out....for they don't stand a chance.......

That looks like someone used the retrograde amnesia spell on 'em and took Rune home and then teleported out.

With all due respect guys, I think you're being a little too hard on Normal.

I agree, we should be able to express opinions here with out being attack. Healthy debate I say.

In that case, a PC had his mind wiped against his will, without a Resistance roll.

Somehow, not any more comforting than being Apported.

Meh, as long as the ST isn't trying to kill you it doesn't always matter if you drop a roll or two.

Although I guess that may be a fringe opinion.

Oh, I wasn't objecting, I was just pointing out that the other possible explanation held the same implications.

Perhaps they worked it out in a PM or over a Chat, so they wouldn't clutter up an IC thread with a description of something the character wouldn't remember? That's how I would do it If I was running a game.
