"Not at all," Asa said with a smile and nod. "I'm pretty sure he wanted to congratulate you as well earlier." Asa made an exaggerated bow and motioned her towards the bar.
So young. It's a good thing Quinton left, I'm not sure how he would have felt about her being so... concerned... with Olivette.
As Asa bid her farewell and stood back up, he scanned the room, mildly disappointed that more Lords hadn't come to support one of their own.
I'll remember. I'm sure the Most Magnificent Alder Baron Senator Jones will, as well.

Antoinette made her way over to where Master Neil was drinking at the bar and sat down at an empty seat next to him. "I'd be careful there, cowboy. I hear too many of those will impair your judgment. Or your driving. Or impair something, I'm not sure..." She gave him a sly grin and a hug, so glad this evening was almost done and she had survived it, and Kindred like Neil had made such a great effort to come and support her. And then stay so long just to talk afterwards. It was really, really special.
"So, I wanted to thank you for coming, it really means a lot to me. I hope you enjoyed it. Maybe just a little. I know this fashion stuff can be kind of weird. You're looking pretty spiffy tonight though. Nice suit. Can I have one of what you're having?" Having that human so close to her before had made her rather giddy. Perhaps some sustenance might help...

Neil laughs as he returns the hug, "It'll take more the this to impair my driving." turning to the bar he orders another drink for Antoinette. "I fear I don't look half as good as the ones you dressed but I am known to dress decently" He says with a grin
Taking another drink he looks at her "I must admit I'm usually not one for fashion shows but this was very well done. I must thank you for allowing me to attend I had a good time, I only hope you will allow me to return the favor and attend my opening of the Gilded Lily."

Antoinette was thrilled at the thought. "I'd absolutely love to! Especially since it will give me yet another reason to buy a new outfit. I wonder if I could get to Paris to see the Spring shows and buy something while I'm there..." she thinks about it a moment and changes her mind. "No, I'll probably just call. But I'll come in something spectacular, none-the-less."
"So, when is the opening? You must be terribly excited. And overwhelmed. Just putting on this show was a huge pain in the ass. I can't imagine opening an entire club. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Family should help each other. You know?"
She suddenly remembered her key, in the jacket she had given to Olivette. "So... I don't know what you're planning on doing for the rest of your evening, but I just finally got my car back. Do you want to see how many tickets we can get in the Greater Sacramento Area?" She smiled at him wickedly.

"You wanna drive?" She smirked, throwing him the key.

He gives Antoinette an evil smile as he catches the key "You read my mind, just lead the way." Neil is obviously enjoying himself, as far as he was concerned fast cars and beautiful women always made for a good night.

Not knowing that Asa is probably trying to get back to his special lady friend, Martin approaches from the side, navigating through the fetish crowd. "Mr. Clarke," he says by way of greeting, hands in his pockets. "Quite a show tonight, wasn't it?"

Char noticed that this kindred was very well known and felt very powerful.
I should definitly talk to her later in a more private setting.
Char lowered her voice a bit. "I know this is not the time to talk buisness, but like I said before, I am new to town and would love to chat later when you might have some spare time. I would really love to know a little more about the town here."

Asa gave a genuine smile, pleased to see that Martin had made the effort to be there. "Please, just call me Asa," he replied.
"Thank you for coming tonight, and indeed, it was quite a show. I'm very excited to see what the future holds for our family... Miss Antoinette makes me feel like quite the underachiever," he said with with a slight chuckle.

Cozette set Ishani's drinks in front of her and smiled a bit shyly at the stunning redhead-Char, she said her name was. So many gorgeous people here tonight. Cozette was feeling every bit the girl-next door tonight. After making sure Char was taken care of, Cozette excused herself to attend to the lady of the hour before she left for the evening.

Cozette slipped into her office before going to speak to Antoinette.
She inclined her head towards Neil, "Good evening, sir. I hope you enjoyed the show and the club? Please, come and visit us again. I am sorry, but I must steal the lady's attention for a moment."
She turned to Antoinette and spoke with a lilting French accent, "Mademoiselle Antoinette, that was a lovely show. People have been saying such wonderful and beautiful things all evening. I myself was interested in a couple of pieces. I would very much like to see more of your pieces at a later time. But you asked me to provide you with the invoice for this evening," Cozette hands her an envelope with the invoice inside, "here it is. Please, enjoy the rest of your evening."

Martin possibly makes a noise in the back of his throat, but its hard to tell over the sound of the club. "Yes. Not my finest moment, that. No, I came to Sacramento to put the lessons of my nights to use. San Francisco is incredibly crowded by our kind of people, and more all the time."

Olivette thanked Antoinette and was happy for the compliment about her body; especially from another woman who had to work with models all the time. She made her way to the back and when she got back to Tilden he recognized Antoinette's jacket and helped her pick out a white mini-dress that fit her nicely. When Antoinette came for her keys, Olivette handed them over and headed back to the floor. She found Asa, and he was talking to another Vampire she remembered was rather new to the area; she recognized him from the meeting. She came close and hovered by while they talked, listening in, but acting as if the music playing in the background was more interesting.

Asa nodded, and watched Olivette take her place. "Yes," he said clearly, "New circumstances don't always bring out our finest moments. We just have learn, and adapt." Had he known the man better, he might have shared a laugh over his first meeting of Lords, but he did not... so he was satisfied with just those words --to both his listeners.
"You may not realize this," he continued, "but just a short time ago our family in Sacramento was very small, which is why I believe it of paramount importance to support one another. If there's anything you need help with, be sure to let Olivette know."
Asa gave Martin a frank look. "Do you realize that we do not claim a single formally recognized position? Yet our more... savage 'cousins' hold two."
He didn't really want to be having this sort of conversation, but it looked like Ishani was likewise besieged, so he made the most of it.

Antoinette turned her attention away from Neil for a moment to address Cozette, "Oh my gosh. Thank you Cozette! To be honest, I have been so scattered all night, I completely forgot about this. I will have the payment back to you tomorrow evening. I will drop it by myself. And, I would very much like to thank you personally with a piece if you would like? My treat? I suspect nothing will arouse you from tonight, but I would like to custom make you something that would really suit your taste. You were incredibly helpful to me, with handling so many details. Would you that be cool?" Antoinette smiles and looks hopeful. She really did want to let Cozette know how much she appreciated her help. "Will you call me and we'll set up a fitting and go over some styles. Maybe do some sketches together?"
After, she turned back to Neil, "Actually, I'd like to ask your opinion, considering you're about to be the manager of a club yourself." Anoinette smiled warmly. "Baron Quinton and I asked Hound Davis to come and watch over the show and club tonight to make sure everyone was safe from, well, whatever freak stuff is happening in this city. I know things are winding down, and he must be bored to death, but there are still guests here. Should I tell him it's cool and everything should be fine from here on out so he can go and enjoy the rest of his evening? Or should we wait until all the Kindred have left, just in case something happens. I would feel awful if he left and something happened..."

Asa gave a noncommittal shrug. "I have no idea about Ms. Seraphina, but I've always had the impression since we first met that... Ms. Dupree," he paused over the name, as if unfamiliar with it, "is just as satisfied with results as with words. Probably more so."
I wonder how things will change, with Lioni? And... where is she?
"Ah," Asa said, remembering how new Martin was, "The man at the door is Brandon Davis. He shares your affiliation. He's also the primary. enforcer of the 'rules' for us all. The woman in crimson at the bar is Ishani Naetesh. She investigates problems. The woman serving her a drink is Ms. Dupree's assistant. Just so you know who they are," he finished, hoping Martin understood his meanings, and that Olivette was still listening.

Martin nods at each person pointed out to him. "Good to know, thank you. I've met Mr. Davis. A bit brusque but I've no doubt he knows how to get the job done."
He sighs, looking around the club. "I should probably be on my way, soon. I still have to go to Ballo Della Notte. Also I need to start getting situated here in Sacramento. Not," he says with a smile, "that I don't appreciate your offers of help to those of us who are new in town. But I'd much like to see what I can accomplish on my own, first."
