There was still a lot of work to do, equipment to be put away, the wall carvings needed to be covered, and all the cataloging? Gracious. She directs Ursa to take notes while she hurriedly dictates.
Sweeping her arms in an elegant motion, Ruby channels the invisible hand of Grace to expel debris from the dig room and to shift the heavier lamps and equipment back into place.
Someone would be coming by to pick them up... but that wasn't reassuring.

Starling finally arrives about 3 hours after your conversation.
"Sorry it took me a while to get here. It seems all the people who were capable of fast travel quickly got out. How has the dig been coming so far?
I'm looking for something in particular here. Stones of some sort with Altlantean markings on them"
((Please give me an Inv or Sci + Int roll to see if you have been able to contribute anything to the dig of note))

The pre-columbian society that left these relics behind couldn't have had a connection to Atlantis... could they?" Ruby wrinkles her nose and grabs one of the ledgers, skimming it just in case.

"Well, it wasn't before...until we figured out from our research that something similar was reported by Native American's in this regions...something very similar actually. I would stake my life that there are warded caverns around here somewhere that we haven't found yet. So, I give you the choice of leading the party here, or coming back with me to Sacramento and seeing what we can learn there. Either way, my gut tells me something is here, so I will be trying to assemble an expedition party."

"In Texas I had a little exposure to some Meso-American writings, and my mentor tried to teach me the Cherokee alphabet once... but even if I could read them, those are completely different languages than what's recorded here. I think our best shot would be getting a Warlock to translate them for us."

"I can tell you what they say. They describe the disappearance of several of their shamans, and other tribes sent their shamans to investigate. They disappeared as well. One shaman who came into 'town' wrote down these symbols"
Ruby immediately recognizes these symbols as various Atlantean runes for different arcana.
"Anyway, he went into some caverns to find these runes. He claimed he had a way to stop it. He wasn't heard from again, but there wasn't another disappearing act until..you guessed it...now."
