 Your goals as a player of VtR?

I thought it would be fun to not see the characters goals but your goals on a personal level as a player.
MIne is overcoming my newb-ish-ness and finding a happy medium between the Beast and normal. I hope to tone down my characters to more tolerable levels as I seem to have confused 'interesting and compelling' with 'monstrous and alarming'.
Ace being an ass, is a problem as no one will trust him, my goal is to learn how to make him a know it all, without so much attitude and blatant information sucking.
Elle, being a monster is a problem because she's batshit crazy. My goal for her as a player is to find ways to set boundaries on my characters so that they arent so inherently out of control.
My other goal is to learn to type slower so people in the same room as me don't suddenly look at the roof and say "Are we in a hail storm? Weird!"
Anyone else with personal player goals?

I'm trying to figure out how to play Requiem  so I'm not sure if I have goals other than survival  I had this other goal of learning to play without doing anything embarrassing, but I got over that quickly *lol*
Besides, if I told everyone what my toon's goals were, then I couldn't launch sneak attacks!

I've been advised that all my charcters seem to turn out to be me eventually, just with different window dressings. So I want my future character/role playing goals to be to come up with a character so far from "me" that I can prove to myself, and my "critic" (yes, I have one critic in particular) that I can actually play someone other than myself!!!
:)
But what can I say. The idea of being a vampire is such a SCRUMPTIOUS idea to me!!!! It's hard not to go there time and time again...

Well Christiaen you are not the only one who has been told your characters tend to become you. I have a very similer problem and I have been trying to quell that for years. If you have any pointers please share. (I will do the same if I ever figure out any LOL)
It is hard for me to make a character that is nothing like me because then that means it would have to be nice, tactful, and conservative. The closest character I have to any of these is Shadow. And it is VERY hard to play her!

And the scary part about that LF is that my characters never seem to have a problem with you.
I think the only one so far has been the one in attunei's superhero game where I came from the future and was all telekinetic and stuff. And the only reason there were issues was because my character was more rude, standoffish and angry than yours.

Honestly, my goal here is just to play. I've been running NWoD games for my buddies nearly since it came out, but none of them ever run one. I've been looking for a way to play for years, but I no longer have the time or will for MUSHes like I did when I was in high school. I'm glad I found this place it'll really allow me a chance to get into the NWoD as a player. Once I get comfortable I think I'll make a Changeling, and maybe a mage too.

Yeah, I joined to play. I don't have a lot of time to go finding people to play with, so online was the way to go. I actually joined to play Werewolf, but started with a vampire to kinda test the waters.

Never played vamp, hell my gaming group laughed at me when I bought the book. The game carries a lot of negative baggage around here.
So my own personal goal is to give the game a shot and see what it is like obn my own. Also if I enjoy it I can tell some neat stories about my character and maybe get some of my group interested.

Ack! Vampire is the reason I even got interested in white wolf. The other games are good and all, but nothing compares to the tangled web of vampire.

My goals are to Condition the Harpy to the point of being my puppet, put them into the position of Prince while still conditioned to me, Mail a character to another country and have the plane crash en route, oh wait I've already done all that before. Probably explains why Frost won't let me play a Ventrue.
I guess I'll have to go with making someone's ears bleed while having a scene with Tammi.

This is a huge release for me. I go to school full time (18 hours a semester) and work full time (40-50 hours a week)...and my job is mostly at a desk...so I am always at a computer. I have been playing WW games since I was 12 years old (16 years ago...do the math lol) and have never stopped. LARP is my favorite, and I am heavily involved with the Camarilla WW Sanctioned Global Chronicle (I know a lot of people don't like the Cam...but I Loooooove it...sometimes lol).
This is something to do while I'm working and writing papers and doing homework.
My biggest hope for this character is to become embroiled in some plot from my background story (hints to all the ST's lol) in order to bring it off the page and into the game.

A MUSH is basically a chat client that can run a persistent game world. I think you'd be a dork if you did know what they were.

get my girl to finish her character and make an account on here so she can play, otherwise theres gonna be a knife fight  just kidding, i love her to death, could stab (grumbles.... whispers something about choking being okay...)
as for my characters?
O-Yama: not get some kind of threat/attack by the mysterious plant using baddies every time he goes out to take a walk around town lol
Sunshine: not get killed for being so ugly, and try to find his way within the city, whether as just some claws for hire, or someones personal bodyguard, or maybe even someones lover, but they gotta look past ALOT of ugly for that one to happen
