 Ventrue Meeting (ATTN: All Ventrue)

The meeting is in an old bank building, which has been remodeled into a cigar bar style club. Upstairs is an office, a meeting room, and two other doors.
Asa Clarke and Neil Coben are in the meeting room talking.

Lioni arrives with Aurelle in tow. Before they left Asylum, Lioni tells Aurelle to be on her best behavior as she will be meeting her clan.
Upon arrival, she escorts her childe to the meeting room. She smiles and gives greeting to those already assembled before taking her seat and motioning for Aurelle to find one as well.

No limo, this: a checkered cab pulls up, and Martin gets out. He pays the fare and looks at the building for a moment, steeling himself. Inside, and directed to the meeting room, where he greets all with a nod. Jacket and tie: he seems more bank manager than Lord of the night.
He tries to find an unobtrusive place to sit where he can pretend he's not being scrutinized six ways to Sunday.

Antoinette's veins seized up with fear as she felt the presence of a predator she had not felt before. A slim Kindred with dark hair had entered the room. She stepped slightly closer to Baron Quinton without consciously thinking of it and wondered how many Ventrue would attend tonight that she had not met at Asa's party.
Nicolo
Nicolo matched the building to the address he'd written down and slowly turned the 430 into the lot with a little effort. She just hated to be driven so slowly and rebelled by feeling heavy and sluggish. He didn't see anyone around he could "convince" to watch his car for him during this meeting though. That made him edgy... Well, if anything happened to the bambino, he'd send Asa the bill. This was his location, after all.
He makes his way up to the meeting room and greets everyone there that he knows. Then turning to the gentleman with the dark hair that's setting his beast on edge, he holds it altogether and politely holds out his hand in a greeting.
"Buona sera Signore, I'm Nicolo Rossi."
<<Nicolo came dressed a bit more conservatively to this meeting...>>

Martin hasn't been having an easy time of it himself. He seems glued to his chair, his hands squeezing the armrests. Martin watches Nicolo approach with caution in his gaze, but by the time the other Kindred is speaking, he seems to have gotten control of his Beast. He takes Nicolo's hand and shakes it. "Martin Carpenter. Pleased to meet you."
He doesn't quite make eye contact with people--more like he's looking between the eyes, or just above. Seems like someone has been on the receiving end of Lordly Words before, and doesn't care to repeat the experience.

Nicolo could see the Kindred was grappling with something, and it made him edgy himself.
"Pace il mio fratello. Peace. They do bite, but certainly they'll do you the decency of licking the wounds shut."
Nicolo gave him a wicked smile and moved on so he could give Martin some space.

Aura comes out of the shadows moving with a dancers grace, clothed in a shockingly tight corset and couture 'ballet' shoes, feeling at home with her toes pointed to the floor, balanced like a Prima Ballerina.
She has straightened her normally curled hair for a more severe look to balance out her bright makeup and very stunning figure. She looks something like an angel with an edge to her, her eyes bright and lovely, feeling more like her old self these days and not so terrified and panicky, her torpor wearing off.
She seats herself near Nicolo, at an open chair, not feeling the need to cling to her sire's side for the moment.

Martin kept his eye on the other Ventrue, wondering how many others might show up. He had shaken Quinton's hand when it was offered, had nodded to Antoinette--sensing the fear from her, not wanting to do more and provoke the Beast--and now was furtively looking at these Kindred. Half-wondering if he had come to a Daeva meeting by accident, so surrounded was he by beautiful people. One thing was obvious so far from the Ventrue of Sacramento: they knew the value of good breeding and good taste.

Neil is pleasantly suprised by the number of Ventrue in the club he smiles at each in turn, "It looks like our numbers have grown." He says to Asa before he sits down and waits for the meeting to get started.

Seraphina had not been in Sacramento very long and she decided it was time to go out and meet some of the local residents around she had seen something of a meeting of the family and decided she may want to attend and introduce herself even though she did not feel holey Ventrue any longer it was her lineage so she put up a front and at least make an appearance.
After some searching she found the place mentioned and approached the door with a very sure stance she knocks and awaits an answer.

Nicolo was simply stunned as this radiant creature sat herself down next to him, the grace and lithe of a dancer flowing through every muscle of her body.
"Ciao bella..." he whispered under his breath. Had she fallen from Heaven? Only Longinus and God knew...
"Miss Aurelie? It is an honour and absolute pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Nicolo Rossi, recently of Rome." He reached for her hand and let his cool lips brush her skin ever so gently.

Lioni watched the exchange between Nicolo and Aurelle with a smile.
Hasn't even been out of the house for five minutes and is already trying to manipulate. I knew I chose her for a reason. Now, can she hold his attention?
She continued to watch the interaction, while keeping an eye on the door to see if there would be any more arrivals.

She allows a little shiver to thrill through her at his chaste kiss, enough that he can feel it in her hand.
It must be hard to be so far from home... she murmurs in her French accented English.

Lioni stands and looks at Quinton. "Yes Baron, I quite agree."
She walks over to Aurelle and yanks the girl to her feet. "It is one thing to be kind and polite. It is another to be a slut. Ventrue do not act in such a manner.........ever. How dare you insult my House and my honor."
She drags the girl over to where Lioni is sitting and shoves her down in the chair.
Leaning forward she whispers in the girls ear. Then, straightens, and finds a seat next to her childe. The look on her face makes it plain that she is furious.

Asa nodded at Neil's words before taking his own seat at the head of the table. He notes a new arrival with curiosity, and then watched the exchange between Lioni and the blonde girl with surprise. Although they didn't arrive together, they seemed to be Blood.
He kept his face impassive and glanced toward the other arrivals, caught in the awkwardness of witnessing someone else's embarrassment.
"Quite a change from our last meeting, isn't it?" he said softly to Lioni and Quentin.

Aura winces at her sire's grip on her arm, looking bewildered and at this point terrified, having not at all thought she was being innappropriate in the least. She looks dejectedly at the floor, terribly embarassed, though still wanting to talk to Nicolo.
She flinches at her sire's words, cringing away from her like a beaten dog, beginning to think that maybe she isnt remembering things about Invictus and her bloodline because her mind is shielding her from thier terrors.
She bites her lip, and spends the next few minutes briefly glancing at Nicolo beneath her long lashes, wondering if he thinks her a complete whelp for cowing to her sire so easily, or if perhaps he might be willing to help her.

Nicolo was quite confused, and a bit enraged. Insulting Lioni's House and honour? She had no childe as far as he knew. And Miss Aurelie had not introduced herself as such, the little minx. But, certainly that was the way it appeared now... He gave her an encouraging little half smirk/secret grin as he watched her look up at him through her lashes. This one would be a handful. His thoughts wandered to what was certainly going to be waiting for her when Lioni got her home this evening, and he lost himself to those private thoughts for a few moments.
He'd certainly do his best to apologize to her Sire after the meeting and iron things out. Well, he'd give it half a shot anyway. He laughed to himself.
