Zachary rubs his chin thoughtfully and appears deep in a ponderous ponder before snapping out of it and saying...
"Or, perhaps it is the fact that I have just awakened 2 days ago from a coma that lasted some 50 odd years. That could be it as well. Either way...I suppose it will do me well to learn the way that things work around this neck of the woods. Duly noted..."

Martin quirks an eyebrow at Zachary, turning his attention to him, but this instead turns to a wince as the Hound speaks loudly. "As he said," Martin says with a nod and a cool tone of voice--rather than assume the man is deaf he'll just assume he's ignorant. "Martin Carpenter, of the Ventrue. Invictus."

Ace jumps and looks up. Sorry Boss. Just taking care of a couple things. he stuffs the phone back in his pocket, having basically been texting the convo to Icarus.
Ace shuts up and sits still, waiting attentively, rather liking Davis even though he's a bit harsh, appreciating him for what he is, a damn good hound.
He furrows his brow. This "chap" from England was about to get his *ASS* handed to him by a very pissed off and stressed out Davis. And the other kid...Oh well.

Martin nods, waiting for Ace to head out. He remains quiet, perhaps thoughtful, letting all of this information settle into place. "Thank you, Master Davis," he says to the Hound.
Great. Nomads in the area, killing stragglers... if the Kindred of this town are too paranoid they may assume he's one of them and just stake him in the sun and be done with it.

Zachary is silent during Davis' speech about the state of the city, and nods understandingly whilst rubbing his chin as if he is puzzling over something.
When Davis is done speaking Zachary says:
"Your efforts are greatly appreciated Mr. Davis...I thank you."
Zachary bows slightly, smiles, and then follows behind Ace.

Martin follows Ace, looking none to pleased at the "ladies" remark. But its obvious he knows there's nothing he can do about it. Hierarchy is hierarchy, and it wouldn't do to pick a fight he's sure he won't win. And on his first evening, too.
Time to just add him to The List, instead...

Not wanting a nickname or a dressing-down, Martin decides that "ladies" will do for the moment.
