Kutya'i stepped out of the cab while Rune paid the fare. He affixed the mental image of "Cujo" in his head, someone without a last name (like Cher), someone who was brought to these things not because he's all the overloaded in the brains department but because he's not afraid of breaking things.

Night exhibits a strained silence in this place. The only noise is the occasional vehicle hurtling along the highway.
Their footsteps scrape clomping echoes from the asphalt as they approach the front door. It is surprisingly unlocked.

Rune looked to Kutya'i before he opened the door and walked in time to meet this Mr. Locke and see what he was all about.
"Hello" He says in a loud voice as he enters the building feeling slightly uneasy.

Kutya'i no likey, he thought, but he followed Rune in to the building anyway. He doesn't say anything, instead focusing on looking generally menacing and keeping an eye out for trouble.

Downstairs you can hear the sound of someone shuffling around but no one calls back up. The hair on your neck stand on end as you feel something supernatural happening coming from somewhere downstairs.

There's a rapid but quiet poppoppop sound as the gloves Kutya'i was wearing break at the seams, and Rune's clothing seems tight for an instant, like he's wearing everything backwards or it's half a size too small. Then the sensation ends and a heavy paw bars Rune's Way. "Let me go firssst." He hisses out his 's'-sounds, and you notice that he now has a snake's tongue that flicks in and out as it tastes the air and his eyes are shaped like a cat's, and his claws are really sharp. "I think I'm a little tougher than you"

After a while of conversation, you learn from Cutter that Locke was working with a mage before he (the mage) just disappeared. And though Locke isn't opposed to the idea of working with a mage, some things will need to settle down first. He does recommend that you talk to Jenner, a hospital worker he knows that refers families to him for services.
"Some of the bodies he's sent to me to clean up have been shredded, and several bite marks along the spinal column and back of the head. He might need your help if that's the kind of thing you do."
After more niceties, he dismisses you.
