Edna’s had been an institution in the Freehold for years and years, ever since Terri had been a member and no doubt prior to even then. It was known as a sanctuary within a sanctuary, a place for those who had no place to go to stay, so long as they understood the rules and didn’t make trouble. It had also become known that the owner, Ms. Jasons, had left the Freehold for a time and since it was the territory of the Autumn Court, it wouldn’t be right for anyone other than a member of the Leaden Mirror to be safeguarding the place in the absence of its owner.
Enter Terri Nutkins, Legate of Mists of the Court of Fear, Bishop of the Bishopric of Blackbirds and generally friendly Beast to anyone and everyone; Pretty much the opposite in every way to Betony Rue.
Still, she could definitely respect the former-Autumn Queen for the way she was always on hand to help despite her appearance and mannerisms, and would try to ensure those under her roof were looked after accordingly.
Terri would try her damndest to make sure that continued. Hence, pizza night at Edna’s! A way for the new manager of the boarding house to get to know those who called the place home and for anyone else wishing to drop by and mingle. The kitchen was simply a maze of pizza boxes, open on the kitchen table (next to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks), in the lounge on whatever surface was available, and simply dotted around the boarding house so anyone passing by could find a slice to grab of the large selection the Legate of Mists had ordered. Standing in the hallway, checking her makeup in the mirror as she waited, Terri wondered if she had actually brought enough food before chastising herself for worrying. If they all went, she’d just order more! That’s the Steepscrambler way!
