Seems vulgar spells were on the table now.
As much as Faye wanted to pull out and throw her own vulgar magic, she felt the urge to shield Strix even more. Since he seemed to be the main focus of this bitches anger. And this fucking sucked, she wasn't a Mage of battle. She was out of her league here, but at least she could try and protect those around her.
Once again she calls out to Time, but not for her, she seeks its protection on Strix. The steady ticking of a clock was heard in her head, and she knew Time listened.

Faye's protective spell settled in his pattern as additional shielding, the touch of Arcadia unfamiliar.
There was little time to dwell on it all that much when the woman cast a Death spell — and its effect took effect quickly. "Fuck!" He winced in pain as the skin on his arm turned necrotic with rot.
Strix was glad he wore his magical tool on his person to not risk Paradox, wearing it on his undamaged arm.
Moving to go touch the ground with his right hand, Strix called down Stygia to affect it — though not the whole thing would be affected by his will, only the ground beneath the woman as the brown glyph appeared beneath her: Degrading the ground's integrity in hopes it would break underneath her and leave them only with Jerome to deal with.
I forgot to note in the roll description that it uses a WP, but I did. He also got his magical tool on him to mitigate Paradox. Over to Cayce

The cement cracked under the Woman In Black's designer shoes when she tried to run forward, the synthetic stone crumbling into scree beneath her. The heel of her left shoe sank in, and her ankle twisted with an audible pop, sending her tumbling into a heavy table set in a crash of wood, flesh, and metal.
The Man in White, meanwhile, had been staring behind Faye and Strix, his eyes fixed upon the form of the unconscious novelist where a putrid green Glyph was etching itself into the Sleeper's body. The Man in White's skin began to crawl, as though a thousand insects, worms, and parasites dwelled beneath his flesh, and then, suddenly, a horrifying wheezing sound erupted from the novelist's body.
It took Faye and Strix a moment to realize that the noise wasn't being made consciously, but was instead the product of the man's organs cruelly twisting inside his body, literally squeezing the air from his lungs. The man began to jerk and thrash, the crack of tendons and ligaments stretching, his limbs bending unnaturally backwards and sideways, as if the hand of an unseen giant were twisting his joints, and then his shirt exploded outward in a shower of gore. The man's rib cage had ripped through his chest, the rib bones seeming to multiply and lengthen in a cruel parody of fangs, the massive maw of the man's gaping chest beginning to gnash, his organs visibly squirming behind the maw of dripping white spikes.
The thing twitched off of it's chair and onto it's hideously rearranged arms and legs, that gnashing maw chomping in Faye and Strix's direction...

Lance puts far more interest into his voice and eyes than he actually has. It's a given that employees learn their trades, often on par or better than the so-called experts they have to endure. Asking an Actual Opinion instead of treating her like a glorified calendar? Dunno. May be worth something later.
Plus? Team RyLa still hasn't made it further in than ten feet. There's cameras and doors and all that jazz to peep.

Seeing the bitch fall was priceless! She had to make sure to give props to Strix, well, if they got out of this.
And then there was the other guy, and as her eyes look to where the noise was, her face fell.
Fuck! Seriously?! That just was not right! On any level!
Oh how she wanted to go up to this clown and punch him. Right in the face. But, she had no idea how to fight, and would probably put herself in a bad situation.
Best idea? Try and shift some bad luck to him. She wanted to see him fumble his spells, hurt himself or his bitch of a friend. She wasn't picky, any type of bad luck of suffering would work for her.
Calling out to Fate once again, she begs it to effect the guy, and feels the answer, feels the tugging at her being as her call was answered.

Getting the woman to stumble and fall was not exactly what he wanted, but in the moment Strix couldn't much be choosy about whatever advantage they got. It turned out to be fleeting anyway, because then Jerome's action drew his attention.
Too late — because the novelist was transmuted in a grotesque mockery of life, flesh and bone shifted and moving in ways that just weren't right.
"Oh, come on!" Strix commented with even amounts of disgust and frustration at the ever more escalating situation. Should they get out of this alive, someone should smack him over the head if he ever got too curious again.
Gnashing rib-maw coming at him, Strix winced as he was caught and a gash to run over his other arm.
The sound of gears grinding against each other flared up with Strix's nimbus, ominous mist spreading along the ground as another brown glyph flashed into existence with the vulgarity of his spell. Beneath the mutated creature, the ground began to degrade just as he had done before
