(Grey Hoods) What's a Cult

It's a bad neighborhood, isn't it. Well, they knew at least that much, given the chasing thugs and the Effigy. But to see the effect of the Hunter cult on the residents, and to do so firsthand, certainly elicits a deeper reaction.
Disgust?
Maybe.
She wonders whether their social media stunt will eventually work to erode the cult's and the Hunter's powerbase, until then they can only try to mend the gravest injuries.
"Yes", she says, "God only knows how awful it must be to live in a home without doors. I mean, all kind of strangers and animals may pop in. No privacy at all...", she nods to her own words, "is this what the bat is for? Strangers trying to break into your house?"

[Gerrit]

Gerrit stayed hidden - he was pretty sure someone looking like him would do nothing to help the situation. There was no malice in the girl, just the wear and tear of a difficult life. Another pang of guilt went through the Ogre. It was easy to lose perspective when all you're doing is trying to foil the assumed threats of True Fae.

Titania and Circe seemed to have the situation under control though, and the little resident gave them a thread to follow. The Ogre shifted, trying to get a better view on the mentioned shop, when he somehow missed some trash lying around and stumbled noisily. With wide eyes and flailing arms he managed not to fall, but every hope of staying unseen was thrown out of the window then and there.

"I imagine the bat is for the likes of that dude, at 5 o'clock." The Monkey said, indicating the direction of the lurking hood with her eyes. Her focus was steady on the potential cultist (unusual for the typically erratic Beast), so she missed Gerrit's attempt at stealth. Lucky for him, no jokes would be forthcoming.

A mischievous grin spread across her face, "Wanna go say hi?"

[Circe]

"Valid use for a bat," she nods in response to Titania's question of using it to bash skulls. And wait, say what happened?

"They," Circe freezes as she processes this, "They stole. Your. Door?" Circe shakes her head, "Sounds more and more like frat boy stupidity. Typical story. Shame ya can't just put a rottweiler back here." She looks over to where Sonja is pointing and yup, a grey hood. Or probably grey given the lights.

The Summer has an evil smile beneath her hood.

"Oh, mercilessly," Circe smiles in response to Sonja, "Getting both perspectives of the crime makes fer a much better story, don't ya think? It'll probably look better written up I'm sure."

Circe then walks towards the hooded man. If the figure doesn't run she waves her hand in greeting though her tone is annoyed, "Sup?"

"Like literally five minutes ago? Yah." The girl spits out, a scowl in place, pulling at the scab on her lip.

Gerrit still bound by Shadowpatch, isn't quite noticed, but he isn't exactly hidden. The girl eyes him, but her attention is drawn first by Sonnie call out, then her and Circe's moving off after the guy in the grey hoodie.

"Or don'tcha remember the other chick who...I dunno. Picked the lock?!"

While the others were dealing with the girl, these two stepped out of the side street, waving at the man, his Grey Hoodie like a beacon. Who seems freeze entirely, eyes wide as they dart between Circe's face and something behind Sonnie...

She pouts, seemingly offended by the girl's entirely grounded accusations "People do all sort of strange things", she says, her eyes drawn to the scab on the girl's lip. "Does it hurt?"

[Gerrit]

Gerrit soundlessly sighed as his fumble didn't cause any major drama. Still, he didn't know what to do - he didn't want to leave Titania alone, but neither did he want to join the conversation outright. He was acting way too suspicious already, so it was maybe better to just stay at a reasonable distance and watch what happened between the girl and the Princess.

Sonnie, smiling pleasantly, strolled towards the grey-hooded figure. It was a bit of multitasking, trying to look nonchalant while also tensing up for a potential foot chase. After all, the chances were good this guy would try to book it.

Good luck outrunning the parkour monkey.

It was instinct that made her look. The flicker of his eyes, paired with their widening, and the Beast reflexively turned to glance behind her. Even as she did so, she knew it was a possible distraction. Some effort by the man to give himself a slight head-start. Sonnie wasn't egotistical, but she was proud of her physical prowess, so she was confidant enough in her ability to catch a runner that she let herself turn and look.

"Tch," the guy wasn't paying attention to her but something else, "Rude." But Circe checks her peripherals out of habit becuase the quote cool dude in the hood un-quote was spooked by something.

Gerrit and Titania's focus is upon the Girl in the Doorway, who's frowns, nose scrunching as the Brightone asks her questions, she looks between the gorgeous Spring and her shadowed protector, and back again.

"...what kind of preacher are you again?" the girl finally asks, "Why haven't ya started pushin'? Where's your bible or your pamphlets or whatever it is ya got?" She moves more towards the door. Hand on the knob, ready to force them out and away.
