Nana spends a few moments simply in awe of the impressive mine’s rocky jaws. Just as with the general gloom of the Hedge itself, she was struck by how charming she found it. As she gawked, her mind tumbled over the sight to see if it rang any bells.

Nana and Tiphon have heard of this Mine, and it's distinctive gaping maw. Only it wasn't always a mine, that is a recent thing, as far as those things can be measured within the Hedge. To those who've studied the Thorns and it's omnipresent paths and myriad of tale, know that this black rock, is bone. That his Mine was once Beast. It's skin and scale harvested long ago, bone is chipped at and organs flayed. Stolen from this corpse, and set to Market. All that is left is the frozen blood, the heart.
As Tiphon kneels next to the tracks he notices the small patterns of hobs around Percy's size, they are many and seem to flatten the dirt path then to offer real incite, not like the three tracks that jump out to his eyes.
One are the size of an average human male, only they look like the imprint of root and vine. The second slimmer, but the tread of distinctive running shoes, and the third, look like those of a bare human foot, only they are far, far to large to ever fit into any mundane shoe, these tracks, are distinctive and heavy. The weight of whatever made them is significant.
Tiphon rose, a grimace on his face. "Three. One like roots. One like running shoes. And big humanesque feet. Elemental. Fairest. Ogre. These are my guesses." He indicates each of the tracks, vine, shoes, then heavy feet respectively. "We should proceed with caution."
With a nod, the Elemental advanced, following the tracks to ensure he was avoiding any traps there might be. If Blink sought to be in the van, then so be it - if not, the whirlwind of sand and concrete would lead.
Blink tilts her head with her eyes locked on the cave as she listens to the observation. Following the end of his words, she did just that...
With soft steps, she made her way forward. Her eyes scanning in a line from where her foot fell next, to the mouth of the cave and back. She didn't want to fall into any traps nor did she want any sort of hidden surprise laying in wait.
The cave entrance seemed absolutely wild to her, and she felt a sense of excitement over this adventure.
Nana all but gaped in awe at the Hedge’s wonderous transformation of the place she had heard of, lines between corpse and mountain now blurred. Only Tiphon’s notice and warning of the tracks pulling her back to the moment. She nods and addresses them both. “I will stay close by, but make myself scarce until needed.”
She let the two suited for a confrontation, physical or otherwise, take the lead while she crept a few paces behind. Not only was it safer for her, but she hoped it might lead an advantage for those who had left the tracks to think they had an advantage of numbers. She following the lights hovering around Tiphon while trying to keep to what shadows she could find as they entered into the hollowed out corpse.

The trio advance, surrounded as they are by red glowbugs they find their footing swiftly within the darkened hollowed corpse. The light flickering valiantly from the gullet of the monster is dim, and far away, but appearing closer then they'd once assumed.
Nana's steps light, and soundless as she keeps away from the ruddy light, cleaving to the shadows. The Summer's steps echo loudly as they step into the mouth and down the throat. Tiphon's concrete surrounded body echoing loudly. Stone against bone.
There is one grand path before them, the natural transition from mouth to throat to stomach, but this is not only a corpse, but a mine, there might be other pathways then the obvious, and they did indeed have tasks to complete.

Silent as sandfloes, the Elemental took advantage of the darkness. Never before had he been so quiet; he lacked training, but there was a rough grace to his movements that aided him in finding the advantage of silence and shadow. Meanwhile, narrowed eyes scanned for other opportunities...
Blink made her way in, taking point. She stepped softly and kept her head on a swivel. There was a slight pause, as she let her eyes adjust to the difference in light levels. Those knives were still clutched in her hands, the blades running up her forearms. Blink wasn't sure what may lay ahead, but she wanted to be ready for whatever may lay ahead.
Nana was pleasantly surprised in hearing those heavy footfalls of the two fade into impressive quiet. Knowing that they had finesse along with Summer's strength was a nice added assurance. She focused back on the mines organic paths for more clues on where to delve for this stone that had drawn so much attention.

As if they were Darklings all, the Summers follow the Wizened into the clinging shadows. Their only liability is their need to see. The red pulsating glowbugs fly soundlessly in the air, allowing them each to note tool marks lining the walls. Jagged things, chipping and shaping darkened bone and petrified muscle into crevasses large enough for them to squeeze through, if they went one, by one.
There are three paths besides the grand tunnel that presumably led to the stomach and beyond. Two to the left, and one to the right.
