"Right." responded Jordan to the instruction. He never did get around talking to Ruby about the results of the journal translation. It would probably have to wait until the Museum meeting.

Aurum frowned slightly at being told to play metal detector. The pointlessness of it irritated her. The only thing it would tell them was that the police were carrying guns and their victim was as well. All of which they already knew.
As the others talked she silently watched them discuss events. "I'm good. I've got my own car. So I'll see you guys there?" She finally said.
"OK," replied Jordan. "We'll see you all there."
He took businesslike leave of everyone, and retraced his steps back to his car. Discussing this with the Curator would be fun..not. "Gee Doctor, someone tampered with our memories."
