Barkley sits at his bar, quietly sipping his whiskey as he waits to open for business and contemplating what Rick and HAL had told him about Tickle's Token. He'd need a mortal to use it and trigger the soldier's return to its master, assuming, of course, that it worked like Mr. Roboto suggested. This left Sam two options- finding someone he didn't like very much to do it, or someone tough enough to live through...whatever the hell it did. With some reluctance, he bounds off his stool, walks to the door and flips the 'Closed' sign to 'Open.' He hated selling his booze, it felt like sharing, even if he was paid for it. Then he retakes his stool, prepared to watch the crowds. Perhaps someone who fit both of his qualifications would wander in this evening. He was happy to wait and find out.
Sam gets a text for something more suited to his expertise- checking the Hedge for trouble. He returns it, tells Sally she's on her own 'til Fu shows up, then goes up to the office to retrieve his staff and double-check that Tickle's Token was still in the deposit safe. Satisfied, the Woodwalker heads out to the parking lot, curses at his truck until it starts, and heads over to Capitol Park.
