(1006) Eternal Court III

[Heathcliff Staley]

Heathcliff drums his fingers along his briefcase thoughtfully. "Perhaps, Michael. If you have no pressing business to attend this evening, stay at Court a while longer, and perhaps there will be a further role for you to play." The Seneschal smiles at his fellow Haunt. "Now if you'd please ask our Jester to join me, please," he says with a short chuckle, then readies a fresh sheet of paper upon his clipboard with the same care and efficiency of movement as some men reload rifles.

Michael nods to Heathcliff and heads out the door, rolling his eyes at the Senechal's laugh. He must think he's a real card.

Michael sees the Jester talking with Amos and approaches him saying "My apologies for the interruption gentlemen, but if you will, the Senechal will see you now." he said to Dwight, turning around to head back to the office, waiting for him to follow.

Amos turned his attention to the gangrel, though he still had no idea that dwight was of this clan. He cannot help smiling when seeing the jester hat still on top of dwight's head.

" Nice hat Senor. And yes, you recalled my name correctly. Amos Rodriguez of the mekhet clan, nice to meet you. "

Their conversation is cut short when Michael interrupts them to summon dwight in the seneschal office.

" I am afraid we'll have to continue this conversation latter. But it would be a pleasure for me to do so. Have a good meeting Senor."

He watches as michael escorts the gangrel to the seneschal office. Too bad, he wanted to chat a little more, but that will have to wait for the moment. He then grab his cell phone and start sending a text message. He will interrupt this activity and make himself available should another kindred wishes to speak with him.

Sorry to show up as yet another new one, but I really need to be Acknowledged

Wyatt walks into Avalon. He doesn't like dance clubs for the dancing, but it's not very bad in here. He heard that the Court is downstairs, so he makes his way to the stairs and gets down.

When he walks in, he slowly looks around himself. It seems quite busy in here. Everybody is talking. He begins to smile when he sees how the place is decorated, very nice, this is the way he likes it. Wandering around, he decides not to wait until somebody comes to him. There is only one other kindred standing alone, doing something with his cell phone, but when Wyatt approaches the man, he is happy to see that the man looks up.
In a good mood because of the interior he says: 'Good evening sir. My name is Wyatt Rahl, and I'm quite new to this town. Maybe you can help me out a bit, if I'm not interuppting? I'd thought maybe you could tell me who the Keeper of this court is, or is there someone else who I can approach to get acknowledged?'

He was texting his friend Consuella when another kindred approaches him. He saves the message, which he will send later, and greets the new arrival with a sincere smile. Being as new as Amos was, this one seemed eager to socialize, which was good in Amos book. He answers with a heavy mexican accent.

" Buenas Noches Senor Wyatt. My name is Amos Rodriguez of the mekhet clan, pleased to meet you. And don't worry, you are not interrupting, I was just keeping myself occupied with my cell phone, waiting for some kindred to socialize with.

As for the acknowledgement, you need to speak to the Seneschal. He's right there..."

Said Amos, while showing the way to Heathcliff's Office.

" ... But he's busy for the moment, meeting a new arrival like you. Speaking of new arrival, I am quite new to the town myself and just made my presentation to the autorities.

He put his cell phone back into his pocket and try to look at Wyatt, trying to figure him out by checking the way he's dressed, behaves and talks. And to see whether or not they could do business at a later time.

So, while we wait for you to honor the necessary protocol, why don't you tell me a bit more about yourself ? For starter, which clan are you from ?"

The question was quite innocent especially given that he revealed his clan himself. He was hoping that could help launch the conversation.

'Ah, buenas noches senor. No hablo español bien.' Wyatt says laughing. 'I like Spanish, unfortunately I've only had it one year on high school. Too bad the Seneschal is so busy at the moment, but on the other hand, it gives me time to talk to you.' And he was happy with that, after he screwed up at his priscus, and god knows who else, he really needed a good conversation.

'The first years after my embrace I lived in Los Angeles, it was quite nice there, and busy.' He sighs, L.A. is really different from Sacramento.
'Anyway, to answer your question, I am a Ventrue. I'm in the Ordo Dracul as well. Speaking of covenant, I heard some strange things about Sacramento, are the Lancea Sanctum, Circle of the Crone and the Carthians really forbidden here? And did this cause any trouble to you?'

Amos smiled when he heard Wyatt trying to speak spanish. Nice gesture of him to try to speak the language, but it seemed a good idea to proceed in English.

" The city of Angel ? Looked like you had an interesting time there. I passed through the city once, but I barerly stayed there a few days and I didn't have the opportunity to meet other kindred there.

Which was the result of his nomadic lifestyle, his companion of the time, the gangrel consuella and the daeva carlos, were very keen on moving quickly from town to town to avoid being dragged into the political feud generated by the danse macabre of these cities.

And to answer your question about the covenant : Yes, the circle of the crone, the lancea sanctum and the Carthians have been banned from the city. Members of each of these covenant seemed to have caused great trouble in the city but, being new here, I am not privy to the details, maybe it is something you and I could work on, yes ? And being unaligned, no, it did not cause me any trouble. "

Which was a lie as he was actually Carthian, though he had to hide that fact since having been warned of this by Ciara.

" So you're Ordo Dracul, is it true that people use the word 'dragon' for member of this covenant ? To be honest, I don't know that much about it and would welcome the opportunity to learn more."

Which was true, in fact, apart from the Carthian, the circle of the crone and belial brood, he had very little knowledge about the covenants and, even those he learned about, he know very little about them.

Wyatt gave Amos an almost awkward smile, speaking about the Ordo Dracul with someone he just met wasn't one of his favorite things to do.

'And the second reason I can't speak about the dragons is because I'm new here, I don't want to have a bad reputation before I have ever met someone of my covenant. Maybe the Ordo Dracul in Sacramento differs from the average Ordo Dracul in other cities because of the absense of three other covenants, but maybe we can discuss that later.' He ends with a great smile, and he takes his cell phone, meaning to change contacts. Maybe they will never speak eachother in the future, but it couldn't do any harm to put him on his contact list.
