Amos has a small moment of hesitation. Of course the question of the sire had to come up. He wanted to avoid the subject but that was probably not the first time he had to explain the situation. Seeing the seneschal writing up in his notepad certainly played a role in Amos deciding to be upfront about it, though he was unaware that HeathCliff was simply writing his groceries list.
" Ok. I guess I'd better be honest about it. My sire, Chanas, cursed be his name, was a brood as in 'Belial'. And he never gave me the choice, forcing the vampiric curse on my unwilling self. The sheriff and his hounds fell on us shortly after my embrace and, in exchange for my cooperation in thwarting my sire plan for the city, I was offered leniancy. "
He then proceeds to explain in some details what happened aftewards, the battle that ensued and his spy role in it, the prince falling into torpor, the crones seizing power and the fact that he was asked to leave town after one year, time enough for him to learn some essential facts about being a vampire from the other Crone that had seized power there.
" As for my plan in the city, nothing's special there. I just want to get some creature comfort, a nice and secure place to hide from the sun, a reliable source of vitae other than animal blood, socialize a bit with the others kindred in the city and, in general, get all the comfort I was denied during my nomadic requiem."
He then waits for the Seneschal anxious to his reaction towards the revelations about his sire.
