As the Seneschal joined them, Jayant made it his time to retire from the group, turning in time to witness Twist arrive, his Naga reacting to her presence.

It was a strange thing, coteries. The Grim Hands had yet to actually have their first meeting.

Slacker, Jayant thought briefly before looking across the room to O-Yama, who's idea it originally was. Well, I was only filling in.

Spotting the newer kindred that had been near the Prince, Jayant moves over towards Grey, in an effort to spark conversation.

"Good evening, I don't believe we have met," Jayant said, holding out his hand. "Jayant Nagaraj."

Deputy Mac arrives at Court with Saul. Mac had figured that offering the Prince's step-Childe a ride was a good career move. Apparently, the Deputy had introduced Saul to his tailor as well, since they wear nearly identical black suits. Other than that, they couldn't be more dissimilar. Mac wears a pair of black wingtips, and moves with the grace and confidence of someone in their element, while Saul has put a shine to his best pair of combat boots and looks around Court with the awkwardness of a fish that's just leapt into your canoe. Mac smiles reassuringly at him and the youngest Beast in attendance breaks away to mingle with the crowd, tugging at his collar uncomfortably.

He makes his way over to where Jayant and Grey have begun a conversation. Soldiers learn to recognize their own. "Hey," he says simply, nodding to his Primogen and extending his hand to the masked man after Jayant. "Saul."

Mac hangs back and watches people. He nods to Akim Swith as the Nosferatu arrives.

As Jayant waits for Grey to respond, he turns to the much younger kindred, his Naga flaring from its nest.

"Greetings, Saul. I hope you are well," he replies with a smile.

Sliding over to Regina, Argent sketches something between a bow and a Heimlich maneuver recipient, then uses a hand to present Regina as if she's the newest prize on Wheel of Fortune.

"This, this is Reggie dearest, my cousin! And, this," he gestures back to Cassandra, "Non, I do not know her name. She is my belle fleur."

Regina looks at Argent. It is a look of great rage. She hisses rather loudly at him:
"Master Argent. I am not yours in any way by any stretch of your rather boistrous imagination. Nor are we in any sort of relationship beyond familial. And should you refer to me by my first name again, I will ensure that you suffer for it. I encourage you strongly to abide by our Prince's decree."
She then turns her back on him, and looks to Cassandra, the rage has lifted, and her smile is quite polite.

"Lady Meister Regina Pia; a pleasure to meet you, though the company you keep is insufferable."

"Two things you never ask a Lady. Her age and her natural hair colour. A woman like me you will likely never know Either."

She pursed her lips softly. Listening to Regina's response befor she spoke herself. Patting Argents hand.

"It sounds like you don't have quite enough money or charm to claim either of us. For you darling boy i shall simply stay the beautiful flower. Why don't you go talk with some of the boisterous gentlemen over there with the Prince and let us Ladies do some real talking that I'm sure would bore you endlessly."

She lets go of Argents hand and gives him a gentle shove with her hip in that direction before turning enough to give Regina a warm smile. Offering her hand to the other woman.

"It's a pleasure Lady Meister Pia to make your aquantaince. Give me time for a little refinement and you might find him a bit different man. Perhaps you could introduce me to some Quality Kindred in the more immediate present however? I am Lady Cassandra Dawes. I've just arrived most recently from Seattle."

Azmi’s eyes were drawn to the man that Victoria had called out as the Prince, Azmi’s beast straining against the new wave of fear that washed over it. His dress was strange for a former Invictus Prince who made decrees about protocol, but Azmi guessed that the point of the garb was to set the Prince apart from the rest of the court.
Part of Azmi’s beast goaded him to confront the Prince, but Azmi knew his position in the court. He was nothing compared to the Prince in stature and approaching him would be a breach of the most common etiquette.
Azmi’s eyes drifted along the Prince’s half dressed form, the predator inside his blood sizing up the competition uselessly. Age, power, and position separated him from any sense of martial victory over such a man. The beast feared him, but the Dragon Slayer in him sought weakness.
He shook his head to break the gaze and reached into his pocket to pull out a green and black pin that had been given to him when he was younger. The trinket had been with him sometime and represented much to his fellow Invictus brethren. The small jade sword wasn’t really worth that much, but sentimentally was worth its weight in gold to Azmi.
He affixed it to just above his heart on the jacket, giving it a light pat before looking back up from his own clothes.

Grey looks to the Nepalese man and sees the warrior that he is. He feels his beast cower At the stronger beast within Jayant. "Grey" he says taking the man's hand in a firm business like grip.

Grey watches Saul as he crosses over to them. Despite the man's older appearance he feels the youth of him. the newness of this dark world. As Grey sees this he has to remind himself, "Has it really only been a year?" He thinks. Again he does that same press and release firm business hand shake "Grey" he says as an introduction.

Grey looks between the two men, feels there monsters within them. "I am of the Shadow." Grey says volunteering only the base information to the two men. "And you?"

"Don't be a connasse because I wouldn't pop your cherry after Reverence, when you loved me calling you 'Reggie'," Argent replies to Regina, looking annoyed.

Hey, he's got a loud voice, too. Go figure.

Mark just stands there and watches the Exchange between Regina and Argent. "Wow, I wonder what would happen if I had an outburst like that here..."

"Yo Man I think you need to calm down. You here at the Prince's allowance. So relax, Go grab someone to drink and chill out." Mark says to Argent in a calm, relaxed voice. The same voice he has used to quell any number of Bar fights.

"Lady Pia calm yourself. This is not appropriate action for a Lady Knight. remain calm and remember where you are." Mark said trying to keep the peace.

There was clearly bad blood here and subtle didn't work. Cassandra chose to take it up a step. Turning and stepping directly in front of Argent. Setting her hands on his chest to try to force him to focus on her.

"Enough. This is Court. We will talk later. Do not let yourself become the focus of tonight's court and the City bringing down it's wrath over this to make an example. It simply isn't fitting. That is not how i wish to spend my first Court in this city so if nothing else do it for the Belle Fleur, Oui?"
