The Ear wants Crunk...? Marcus feels ice water trickle down his spine as he realizes that the Ear isn't an arcane symbol. The Ear is one of Them. Mason is the Loyalist. While it doesn't completely clear Emma in Marcus' mind, it certainly solidifies Mason's threat. Duncan said Mason was going to take his son back with him... Marcus picks up his pen once more and urgently scribbles on the page.

Duncan reads the frantic note and slams his fist down on the table.
"I DON'T KNOW!" he shouts getting irritated and upset at the mention of Lyle. Taking the pen, he starts to scribble.

The Metalflesh nods in understanding. Marcus knows that getting angry and blowing off some frustration can be healthy. Circling what the Snowskin had written, he writes, "WHEN? HOW LONG AGO?", next to it. After Duncan replies, Marcus continues to write one last message before standing up and raising a questioning eyebrow.

Marcus doesn't blink as he looks into Duncan's eyes. "Remember, we need answers..." He pronounces the last word with added meaning. The Metalflesh knows only too well the results of a Summer Courtier losing his temper. They wouldn't get any answers from a dead Ogre. Marcus doesn't know anyone with those Contracts. Grabbing his Hedge Ax and rucksack, he leads Duncan to his Jeep to meet up with the rest of The Boys.
