Ash and Bone

The meeting needed to happen. Things had changed, Kindred were reduced to ash and one lay staked safely locked away.


Vivian needed to know what happened and what would happen at Court. She didn’t believe in keeping those around in the dark on important issues.


How would she take it? It wasn’t everyday that the Reeve and her deputy were ashed.


So Ale sits on her desk this time, legs hanging off the front. It was her desk, she could.


Tonight she was in her usual black. Black leather pant and tank top, the only color was the blood red lipstick.


The office looked the same, save for a missing chair and a jar with something in it sitting beside the Savage.

The press of the Beast alerted Ale to Vivian before she heard her voice. Her own rose up, teeth bared in a snarl at the challenger. Wanting to be set free once again to rend more flesh and bone. But no. No more, not now.

A half smile was offered to the Daeva as she gestures to the seats,

“Hi Seneschal York, thank you for meeting with me.” Begins the Savage, “I’ve reached out to Archon Twist as well to join us.” She knew the mention of Twist would cause worry in most. And she hoped Vivian wasn’t one of them.

“This has to do with an incident in my office, with the Reeve and her deputy, Miss Goto.” She wasn’t sure if Vivian knew Goto was made a deputy or not. “Did you have many dealings with either of them?” it wasn’t that Ale was stalling, but giving Twist a chance to come if she wasn’t busy. Delivering the news wouldn’t be hard, it was done and over in her mind. But the Seneschal needed to know what happened and why there would be an execution. Not one of those things you spring on a trusted ally at the moment of ashing.

A soft knock against the door frame announced Twist's presence. A courtesy for more than just manners. Twist well knew her beast was hidden. She would not illicit within Ale or Vivian the sudden surge of Beast within, demanding action. The same could not be said for their presence upon her though. The office was spacious but with the two women inside, it felt crowded. And all she wanted was to make it empty.

But she resisted. Something she wished she had done more of when last she was summoned to this office.

Once inside the door, she dropped into a deep curtsy toward Ale. Her outfit was simple, slacks and a silk blouse that was sheer enough to make one wonder if she had come from working at the theater or working a club.

There was a thoughtful nod as she listened. So Vivian had little dealings with them. Not that it really mattered to her, she was just curious.

But if it wasn’t memorable, how long would they have flown under the radar? How long until their true intentions became clear?

Nodding, “Yeah, we best wait. She was present for the incident and could also help answer any questions you might have.” Sometimes others had a different view on things and it helped to hear both.

Though they didn’t have to wait long as the knock announced Twist’s appearance. She was thankfully for the lack of Beast, it was like a welcome relief.

She smiles and bows her head, remaining seated on the desk.

“Thank you for coming.” She replies, “I wanted to let Seneschal York in on the events that happened, and what’s to come.” She had always known there would come a point when she would have to end a fellow Kindred, she just never expected it so soon.

Looking back to Vivian, she places a hand on the vase type jar beside her, “We had an incident with the Reeve and her deputy. What remains of Takeda is in this jar.” She looks to it, then back to the Daeva, “And Izayoi is tucked away with a stake in her chest.” There was no emotion, her dark eyes empty, void of anything.
