"Shit," Crane swore under her breath as she saw the severe, lurking figure quickly leave the diner, leaving them alone, with torn scraps of paper to keep them company.
The waitress finally appeared with the drinks, a fragment of paper falling to the floor as she pushed their drinks onto the table.
"Check, please," Crane muttered, watching a lone piece of paper with Audition stained across it slowly disappear beneath a different table...
