"I should have a download you can give Perrett, too," Avis said, nodding to Truce. "It might not do anything with Sandberg dead and chain of evidence, but it's something."

With that said, she returned the peck that Star had given her (and wasn't it amazing how much it had meant to get a kiss even amidst all this madness?) and then she ran over to the wall of crates and began to paint a portal into existence, her minds eye picturing a smudged black film settling into place like the mist from a spray can before it dissolved into the sight of a Train Car sitting somewhere beneath the earth. She could feel more black pooling inside her as she did this, but she didn't care. This was the final stretch towards home.

The portal winking into existence she waved Truce frantically through and followed after him, closing the portal once they'd cleared the warehouse.

And so it was.

The portal opened as naturally as if Avis had tripped a secret panel revealing their escape tunnel. And when she and the Moros has passed through it, it winked out of existence just as naturally, leaving no trace behind.

Star was (more or less) alone. The milling mob was screaming and clawing and trampling over itself to spill out into the parking lot. Howls and shrieks of disgust could only point to a further horror in the parking lot proper. Siren's drew closer, piecemeal - Perrett had obviously put out the call and Sacramento's finest were converging on the site from all directions, probably with all available manpower. There was even the sound of a helicopter hovering overhead.

That still gave the Obrimos time to poke around and place himself before he was found*

He was right about being processed. It had to be that way, given the scale of the chaos that the first responder's confronted and the case that Perrett had been working. There was a lot of moving parts and nothing made sense - giant bees and tigers! Wolves! Bears! Wolfmen (wtf?) Apparently there was even a Green Arrow sighting. A number of people with outstanding warrants were picked up, dazed and confused, in the parking lot. Rumour bounces back and forth about a battered and shot-up pick up being seen, careening into the night - its a lead the cops were still working till days, months, later a burned out hulk was found out in the wilderness, east of the city.

*Should he go looking he'll find the cells were the prisoners were kept and some basic amenities. No further evidence though: the prisoners were not meant to be there long.
