(1603) The Seneschal and the Doll

"I only remember my last meal so well, 'cause it was my going away dinner. I was headed to collage when I was Embraced." Alice explains. "But-yeah I was snacking. I remember that 'cause I was covered in Cheeto dust and sticky from the spilled soda when I woke up dead." is added with a wry twist to her lips. "You chicken sandwich sounds....nice." Alice offers with a strings pulled jerking shrug.

"Yeah I'm settling in. Helping out with the Family. Feeling like I'm apart of something....it's nice."

"Oh," Jacob waved his hand half in dismissal as if the answer was not important, and half in emphasis. "Anything, everything, right now I'm studying software engineering. My CSC skills were and are lacking, and I've always had a soft spot for the engineering mindset."

Jacob laughs, perhaps too loud, in response to Alice's brief rendition of her embrace. "No offense intended, truly, mine was no more glamorous. I'm just glad that I shaved the morning before it happened." He laughed once more.

"Well it was good talking to you both, the hour grows early, so I must bid you both adieu," Jacob smiles softly during his rhythmic speech. He nodded to Shadow and Savage in turn and prepared himself to depart.

Her smile widens into a grin, "Oh, I remember cheetos, used to love those things!" though she couldn't say she would have liked to wake up covered in their dust and soda. "And that's good to hear. I kinda know what you mean, to feel like you are part of something." after years on the move, it felt good to finally stay in one place.

Oh, so a college kid. "Software engineering? Sounds complicated but something that is important." she wasn't stupid, she just had no idea what it was. Sounded like it included computers though, and she only knew the basics. "Best of luck with it." and she meant it.

She almost burst out laughing when he mentions their embraces not being glamorous. If they only knew how much she wished her own had been similar to theirs. But that wasn't something she wanted to discuss or bring up.

Looking around the room, she nods, "Guess it does." a few other Kindred had left already. "Well, I enjoyed talking with you guys. If you ever find yourselves in a bind, give me a call." she will provide her number if either wants it. Always good to offer help to other Kindred, never know when favors might be needed.
