The first security guard was through the door and sweeping into the barn. The torch attached to his shotgun sent a beam of light hunting the Kindred as they made their dash between discarded machinery and re-arranged crates. He may even have fired had it not been for Tomas' shots raining down on him. The guard yelled, stiffened and spun discharging his weapon into the hay loft, alerted to the Gangrel's presence by a glancing bullet wound.

Sometimes, flukes happen in the chaos of conflict.

In spite of Tomas good position in the hay loft, the volley caught him just right in a hail of scouring metal and shattered wood.

Richard never underestimated the threat of firearms, immortal creatures of the night or not an array of bullets to the chest could still put a kindred on his ass long enough to be incapacitated, not to mention the obvious waste of precious vitae that would have to be sacrificed to repair it's damage. When the first guard breaks into the barn and the series of discharges begin he immediately raises the small sub machine gun towards the door, slides the safety off, and proceeds to squeeze tightly in a sweeping motion, spraying the door from which the guard had entered, using the barrage of bullets and threat of death to hopefully suppress their advance. From his right he can see Katya gesturing for them to follow which causes his face to twist in angst, he doesn't speak, but he raises a hand and violently waves it forward in her direction, clearly the Daeva insist that she heads up the ladder first while he and Tomas, continue holding down the door. Once the others hand climbed to safety, he would head up after them and not a moment before.

Richard Black's movements are slick and practiced. The first security guard, back turned and facing toward the hay loft, shudders as the shells rip into him. A howl escapes his lips - more from surprise than pain - as he sags to his knees.

The second, slower, security guard can only manage to bolt into the room. Trigger happy, he does not wait to scan the area and simply fires his weapon recklessly at the man with their submachine gun. The smell of leaking fluid, ozone and hay clearly hasn't seeped into his conscious yet.

His shot goes wide, harmlessly hammering into an upturned crate to Richard's right, showering him in shavings.

*Richard has range on the two security guards, given their relative positions. Tomas and the guards fall within each other's short range.
** Both security guards are now in the barn.
*** Both Katya and Marco (speed factor 10) are still making their way to the door. For mechanic purposes I will add that the exit counts as 30 yards from where their original start point. It will take 2 more rounds for them to escape fully. However, note that the last 10 yards lack cover.

If either Marco or Katya wish to get to grips with the guards, they will require a Charge action as a standard attack (or going all out) will not quite get the Kindred into close combat range. Pistol shots will be from medium range.

If Tomas wants to get into close combat with either of the guards, he will have to climb down from the loft. For clarity, I will say now that leaping from his perch into close combat is possible as an all-out attack, but on a failed roll, or a roll lacking sufficient successes to cause damage, he will be PRONE and flat on his face.

Tomas emerges from the dust, debris and shadows of the loft, gun blazing. Already unbalanced on on his knees, the Security Guard #1 can only take the pain and pray his mismatched body armor can hold together. He crumples to the floor.

Hidden in the burst of gunfire, Katya and Marco continue on their way, shielded from view by the mismatched contents of the barn.

Marco Fernandez Matrixchild will make his escape to avoid any continuity entanglements. Katya sumthingpositiv will be able to escape at the end of the next turn.

Yelping a curse, ducks back out again as the bullets rain down close to his position. He fires his weapon of course, but the blast is more for bluster than actual offence.

In the fracas, the improvised explosive finally starts to go off - slowly. At first there is only an acrid scent, then smoke, and finally, tongues of fire begin to lap at the canopied tent. Only a fluke stops the barn from exploding right there as the flames seek out the fuel soaked ground and musty air.

Taking their cue, Richard Black and Tomas make their escape.

Katya ensures there will be no pursuit by shooting into the tent before she leaves; whether or not her shots accentuate the fire is hard to tell, but the popping noises do turn into bangs as the dust in the air fuels the blaze further.

The Kindred retreat into the night leaving fire and destruction in their wake.

It has been six days with no posting and I really want to get this scene into continuity.
