No matter how much she wanted to spit curses as the weft of space alluded her grasp, she could spare no thought but to the completion of a strong enough ward to protect the Sunstone until they could get it where it needed to go. Unfortunately, that was now going to take longer. Wherever that time was spent, on the road or in a parking lot, it wasn't up to Avis to decide, but alas, the ward was finally completed and VT was ready to get moving again...

The words trickled off as an Angel reached to the Sky, sheathing the siphon in light. It's a dirty cast. Shhhhhh. Don't look now, July. It'll be okay. Slowly, like a 3-D printer, the threads spun into a freezer on wheels, large enough to hold the crystal.
