Sometimes it was just amazing what three little words could mean. And he didn't hesitate to return them. "And I love you too, Terri Nutkins, I always will." And for a short while he just savors that moment, here amongst the Valentines decorations with the soft press of her lips against his cheek.

Then he can't quite help but chuckle at Terri's question, an envelope in each hand and a glimmer of amusement in his eyes as he responds. "Hmm...is there one in particular you think I should open first?"

"That one," Terri grinned, tapping a finger on the envelope that was obviously her hand-writing. However, she was intrigued by the others also.

There's another chuckle as Terri taps the envelope he'd known full well she would. The envelope is opened shortly afterwards, and a few moments spent admiring the artwork gracing the front of it. Then he flips it open; his expression softening as he reads the words written in, a smile of heartfelt happiness gracing his lips. And he pulls her into a hug, his words murmured softly into her ear. "Doing so has been the greatest joy I could ever have hoped to find."

The grin that was plastered on the Beast's face was there for all to see. She literally beamed. Sure, L'aire may possess a glow that came from her kith but Terri's came from true love. One day, she vowed to help her friend get there also.

Although, as the Legate's eyes saw how close she and Kyle were getting, a warm feeling spread through Terri.

"Do you fancy heading out for some dinner afterwards?" Terri asked, looking up into Rick's eyes. "Or do you want to head home?"

Rick's smile only grew as he noted the grin plastered across Terri's features, and he kept his arms wrapped loosely around her. "Tell you what...lady's choice. I'm good either way." After all, either option meant more time to spend with her. And tonight, that was all that really mattered to him.
