A Long Overdue Date

The cheerful waitress returned "Hey you two! Just came by to give you your check."

A look of surprise came across Ermac's face, "Lost track of time." Once more he dispelled the auditory force field.

"Hey, thanks Stacy..."

"So what'd you think?"

"Everything was excellent."

"Glad to hear it!" with that, she walked off once more.

Looking back to Mace, "This was great. Hopefully, we'll have more time before the next storm comes rolling in."

Mace gave him a playful grin at his comment. "I'm going to take that as a compliment," she said as the bill was brought out. "Thanks Stacy," she said, echoing Ermac's words. "Everything was wonderful."

She turned back to him as Stacy left. "We'll just have to find time," she said. "Thank you for dinner, I've enjoyed it." She gave him a smile.

Ermac grinned at Mace, "Twas a compliment," he said adding a wink. He retrieved his wallet, pulling out cash to pay the bill and tip. He left the payment in the black leather envelope. "That we shall," he said in return to the Moros. A contented sigh escaped his lips followed with a longing gaze to his girlfriend, "Mind if I walk you home at least?"

"Of course," Mace said with a smile. She offered him her arm. "I'd be happy to have an escort home."
