”Priscus Cordoba, good evening!” Velma offers politely as the door opens for the contenders to come in.
”You seem to be settling well into your new role!” The Daeva smiles extending a compliment and gesturing for him to join her by her side.
”People say I’m an excellent judge of character!” Her smile widens in playful banter.
”Don’t you agree?” A subtle reminder and a vote of confidence.
"Why thank you Lady Star," the Daeva Priscus replied cordially. Taking a seat next to the former Priscus-Harpy, the sudden surge of hunger arose from within. Such closeness to a lesser Beast was tempting.
The signature grin of Cordoba manifested, "I would very much agree. Things have been progressing smoothly." He cast his eyes to the cage, "It will be quite the show."

”Progressing smoothly!?” There is a brief pause.
”I will love to hear the details… but not tonight. Tonight is about enjoying a show!” The Succubus inclines slowly to confide near Juan’s ear in a whisper.
”And of course showing a unified front!” The Succubus eventually finishes whispering.
"Priscus Cordoba, are you up for some betting?"
"I would be happy to entertain you with details later on," Cordoba replied merrily. As the Succubus leaned in close to his ear, carnal desires coursed within his mind. "That is what makes us the best."
The Daeva shook his head, "It would be...oh..what's that word?..." he paused in thought, "a "mulligan" as it were. I have every confidence in Lord Baldwin." Cordoba inclined his head, "He cannot possibly lose."

Cordoba’s observation was followed by a sheepish smile by the female Daeva. It was funny how conversation and observations could be so easily misinterpreted by those too secure of their place in the world.
”Yes, he can’t possibly lose.” Can he?
Velma falls silent when the combat begins. The succession of events that follow would have let any sane human breath taken by its sheer brutality and cruelty. It all begun with the Priscus of Haunts quickly barreling into the Mekhet before he could even move.
Then the humiliation begun.
A succession of heavy backhand slaps to stir his opponent's balance. The shadow still tried to struggle against the Haunt’s puissant grip but once firmly held by the Knight there was nothing but abandoning all hope and prepare for the inevitable. Whatever chances Michael Travis had of winning the match they had evaporated when Peter Baldwin laid his hands on him.
Velma wasn’t indifferent to the treatment. The Succubus inhales when the gun is shoved into the Mekhet’s mouth and its payload is discharged. It was a subtle message, to kill the Mekhet with its own weapon.
We are better at what you do best!
The Ravager smiled. She was entertained!
Bloodshed, carnage, humiliation! A desperate man falling, mercillesly slaughtered! The triumph of the Beast over Man.
Eventually the haunt pulls its Bowie knife to put the display to an end. Through it all Michael Travis hadn’t succumbed to frenzy… how foolish of him! There was no gallantry in Peter Baldwin but Michael Travis had played the role of the innocent lamb to the very end… Maybe the strength lend by its beast would have changed the outcome? In the end it mattered little, Michael Travis was ash.
Asa’s words didn’t came as a surprise. They all had roles to play… Asa was the Prince, Baldwin the fist, and Velma? Velma knew what Velma knew…
”A unified front.”
The Succubus grabs Cordoba’s hand gently, urging him to follow her to where the Nosferatu Knight was.
Velma joins the main scene
