Aeneas grunts happily when Falcon alights on his lupine shoulder. He looked like he was about to chatter with the bird spirit... until he caught Elaine's stare.

Peter considered the spirit perched on Aeneas' shoulder for a moment before giving a rough shrug. The spirit's demands could be worse, though, he had his doubts as to how strong Falcon would prove as a totem. Even so, he kept quiet. He hadn't been too useful up to that point and, while he wasn't entirely sure, he thought Elaine might have been giving him the Evil Eye.
Honestly, it's not like I have such a strong opinion on the matter that I need to comment, anyway.
Firebringer seems largely immune to Elaine's gaze, but nods once to the falcon. «That seems agreeable.» A pointed look around the forest. «Now I would suggest we quit these spirits' territory for somewhere more hospitable.»
The pack returns to the Locus, and now has their totem.
