"I am researching bloodlines as part of my research into... the Blood. It is something I need to do since my epiphany upon the stake. At least... it needs to be investigated throughly... if only to end pointless lines of enquiry." There was that crease in her forehead again. She repeated her action, smoothing it away with her hand. "I haven't had much time to investigate this digital library. Perhaps you could show me... us..." the Lord added hurriedly.

Even though it was unusual for Aïleen to feel pride and confidence, she had come to exert more and more her increasing computer skills, and feeling good for it. She nodded to her fellow Dragons, and headed toward the main terminal. A latin-primer, and Bloodlines ? No problem. Bloodlines, eh ?
"Sure, it will be my pleasure. This way, please..." the Mekhet said, smiling toward the other socially crippled Dragons. "I'm sure you'll come to like it a lot. It's very easy, really..."
Getting out of his seat, David took a moment to reclaim his watch. The brown leather bindings were as old and as worn as the satchel slouching in a seat but, just as fastidiously well-kept. As David followed Aileen, he deftly fastened it back to his wrist.
A glance is spared towards Supplicant Bingen as David took silent note that she studies Bloodlines. As a member of one himself, he remembered the change when his Heritage accepted him. The keenly felt shift. Though, these were just memories of an immediate family that came and went with a thought.
David was acquainted with computers, if only just. A hold-over from a part-time job many, many years ago. It was enough to send an email or two and understand the closing gap between privacy and publicness. Thankfully for the world, he missed the time of Geocities and its tiled background images and midi background music.
The Mortician's silence was borne out of a sharp attentiveness to Aileen's explanation of the digital library, rather than anything else.

Gathering her things, the Lord followed behind. She was curious to see what this "digital library" entailed.

As Aïleen walked toward the terminal, she switched on Evergreen, and thanked Dr Redfill for having clued her in about it.
"So, you see, there's a password to start using it. Once it's loaded..." she waited a few seconds "See this box ? In this field, you enter the keyword you're looking for. It is then automatically queried into the catalog of books we're setting..." and she went on with the basics of what a user should know. No need to bother them with actual database administrator stuff...
Sounds good to me. Write until you are done, which is what I always say! Awesome scene!
