Friendly grin never dimming, Dillon's eyebrow bounces once when Erich bustles off. He blinks, and his chin shakes just a touch, but it is in amusement rather than annoyance. If Erich was only so focused on events dealing with his ambition that he failed to miss the entire beginning part about the whole... you know... Reeve thing.

No matter. Dillon has just resolved to keep calling him 'Mister Passions' for at least a few instances in private, even if the man does walk away as Regent of Florin tonight.

When his smile is similarly transferred to Martha as hers is to him, it seems to recede in its intensity somewhat. The plucky mirth is replaced by sincere gratitude and appreciation. Maybe it's a little gallant of him, but he bows deeply to the tiny lady.

There is a very subtle wink when he comes back up. He knows that the role was never specifically a burden to her more than any station of command is, but responsibility can be very taxing.

And for a while there, she just about had all of the responsibility.
