The only real problem Terri found with these Seasonal events was actually trying to decide what dress to wear, and ensuring her choice hadn't been worn before. Luckily, she had some new designs for the new year from some of her friends, and her choice for the Winter Coronation was one such dress. Long and slender, it exposed her arms and neck just so, and a yellow flower attached to her left shoulder.
As she passed @Big Swilla , @Duncan and @Mr. Bates , Terri gave a smile and a "Merry Christmas", along with a kiss on their cheek, no doubt making them a little uncomfortable. She was certain that by the end of the evening, no doubt the mistletoe would have appeared from the magic of the Throne Room, and she decided to begin the festivities early.
Looking around, Terri saw with sad eyes that the time of Autumn was almost at an end but she knew this was the way of such things. Perhaps she was sad because it had been her very first Autumn as the Queen of her Court, a Season that she had become the epitome of and now she was alone within it. Certainly, she had many good and trusted friends and was generally well liked throughout the Freehold (despite certain rumours having reached her ear-tufts), but she had lost so much in one year while receiving so much also.
It reminded her solidly that the dynamics of the Freehold were as ever-changing as the Seasons, and that faces once known so well could go so suddenly, and faces once known should be recalled.
Heading to the buffet, Terri admired the large fruit cake, trying to make out what it consisted of as she helped herself to a mug of hot chocolate.
"Merry Christmas, @Mrs. Rosemary ," Terri said to her fellow Sovereign with a smile as she sipped at the drink before looking to the Muse also at the table ( @Princess ). "Its Mary, right? Merry Christmas."
