(1205) Eternal Court XXI

Chase departs the company of Monsieur l’Aubespine, pocketing the slip of paper that had been handed him. He eyes the room with bright eyes, his mind refreshed and stimulated for the remaining evening. For a few minutes he circles around the crowd, nodding his head as familiar eyes cross his gaze. He actually could recognize and name a good portion of those attending that evening. It was rather comforting. The throng of Beasts did not frighten him so much anymore. Well...at least he could maintain the illusion of relative safety, best to not let one's guard down.

Approaching a lone kindred that was unfamiliar ( Bobby Lime ) Chase moved to greet the man. He emitted no Beast that Chase could tell, though that seemed fairly common with many kindred in Court. He seemed in good spirits at least. "Hello and good evening, sir. I don't believe I've had the pleasure. Are you new to the Domain or have I merely overlooked your presence up until now?" Chase put on a bright smile of his own, cheery and welcoming.

Arriving to Court slightly later than he might otherwise have done, Adam nonetheless strolled into Court in a relaxed sort of manner. He was in a jovial mood that evening and, as he peered around at the Kindred already present, the Daeva nodded a quick greeting the few he knew but were already deep in conversation. He had no wish to interrupt.

His Beast kicked up a terrible fuss as the powerful of so many Kindred in one place, tried to kick him down to size. But Adam persevered. He was dressed so damned nicely, it would have been a shame to run out with his tail between his legs.

He wandered amongst the others, like a man who was perfectly content with mulling about alone.

Still, he could have done that in his Haven. One did come to Court to chat, so with that in mind, Adam kept an eye out.

Saying his farewells to Emma French and thinking on how she might be a particularly fun individual to spend some time with, a narrow-eyed Shadow resumed his rounds of Court, looking for faces he knew and faces he did not. His eyes scanned in particular for Alice Brown , but to no avail. He also saw the Mexican Lord speaking with the Vala of the Crone, who was shaking hands with another guy, and standing with a third man, whose Beast thundered against his consciousness.

Ah well. For the moment, he would circulate and see who there was to see.

Emma walked around the room making sure everything looked like it was still secure. She had had such a pleasant conversation with Mr. Kingsley she had let down her guard for a few minutes. Emma wasn't sure who she would want to talk to tonight so she decided to find a quiet table in the corner of the room where she could see all the exits.

Catherine looked around for some place she could set down and get to work. At least you learn something simple as hand business early on in life, or unlife. Of course a little drop-spinning was never enough to keep the serpent quiet in her ears when it could feel the presence of others in the room.

The hissing and sound of feathers and scales filled her ears as she crossed to one of the few places that she could sit. Perhaps it was just habit, but standing for hours on end was not something she could handle. Besides she had work to do.

She approached a brunette who seemed to have just taken the table ( Psychangel ) and gave her a smile, as the hissing only rose in her ears. “Mind if I join you?” she asked as inwardly she dropped a heavier blanket on the snake, to get it to shut up.

Emma gestures to the empty chair. "Please take a seat." Emma smiles slightly at the woman who had approached her. Another mekhet she guesses since the beast appears to be masked. Mekhet's are so much easier to be around because of the mask. Emma holds out her hand in greeting, "Emma, Emma French and you are?"

Gathering her mind and trying hard to still her sense of grief, Martha hobbles heavily from the meeting with the Reeve and Deputy Grigoriev.

Pausing just beyond the door and gripping hard at her cane, tiny Martha silently surveyed the Court to see if any stray people needed any of her time or if anything was amiss.

Seeing the Herald was free from her more important duties, Adam stepped across to the diminutive Kindred. He bowed formally, a friendly but polite smile appearing on his face. "May I join you, Madame Herald?" he inquired gently.
