Erika Brady, Regent of Citrus Heights, sits in the same place she had met with the group before.
She is Reading a book and waiting... impatiently.
Unless Erika can see through walls, Ricardo is the first Kindred of the group that she sees. The Mexican Lord holds open the door for his two companions, both because he would like to think of himself as a gentleman and because they are holding important artifacts. As usual, he seems perfectly at home pretending to be the servant.
Alice gives Ricardo a polite and thankful nod as he holds a door open. But with a quick pace she makes her way over to the Regent. 'Doctor Brady.' And she nods as a greeting.
She then waits for both Erika to acknowledge them, and for Daniella to come with the helmet first.
Daniella thanks Ricardo as she makes her way into the library. Seeing Alice and the Regent, she makes her way over to them, she offers a polite nod to the Regent, "Doctor Brady." she says with a smile.
She will take a quick glance around, looking to see if there was any others around, if there are none, she will carefully take out the helmet from under her coat and gently place it on the table.
"Ladies... Sir. What do you have for me?" Erika asks setting her book down and looking to the three people as they enter. Her Irish eyes... definitly not smiling.
'We have for you, as requested, the helmet.' Alice keeps looking at Erika while she opens her handbag to take the small box. She opens it and places it next to the helmet, inside is the human skin. 'And a text that was enclosed with the object.'
Trying to see Erika's real emotions
Once he actually moves inside the room, Ricardo inclines his head to the Regent. Then he stays silent. Alice was doing a good job talking for the group. Plus, he didn't really want to get in the middle if the Regent and the Harpy decided to have it out. That was one catfight that he would be perfectly fine staying the Hell away from.
Taking the Helmet and the flesh document Erika looks to the group with obvious annoyance on her face, "You know, I had thought to give you feeding rites in my Regency as a reward when this was completed. But as you could not follow instruction, and have risked the masquerade. I have decided to say thank you. I will allow you to keep any copies you have no doubt made, and wish you well in your future endeavors."
Erika sits down and goes back to reading her book...
'Thank you Dr. Brady.' Alice smiles friendly, at least that is what it appears to be, 'I appreciate the given opportunity for some entertainment. How unfortunate that such a gift ungiven will nullify the chance of future collaboration, as for the symbolism itself, I doubt if Citrus Heights would ever turn out to be worth the time traveling.'
She bows her head, then nods her head to Ricardo and Daniella. 'I wish you all a good evening.'
She returns the nod to Alice, and offers a small smile.
Daniella cannot help but feel guilty for the turn of events. Bowing her head, “My apologies Doctor Brady, though our intentions were good, our curiosity got the better of us.” Her tone is sincere, as she brings her head back up. “I hope you are able to gather what you were after, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.” She does smile, though not her usual cheerful smile. She had gone against the orders of a family member and a Regent, and it did not sit well with her.
She turns to Ricardo, and forces a smile, and waits to walk out with him.
