Good enough to talk to? Oh. Oh, shit, that's not at all what I meant!

Jim's face fell as he realized what he had done. Apparently his subtle nod as he made his way toward the stage had both been noticed by the Regent and had offended her. Removing his mask so she could see his entire face, he said in an apologetic tone, "My apologies, Regent! I wasn't meaning to ignore you, in the rush to get to the stage I --..." He trailed off and shook his head at his own rudeness, looking mighty sheepish. "Well, I got a bit taken up in all the excitement. I owed you better, and misplaced my manners. Can I make it up to you?"

The least he could do is apologize.

"Marvelous." Jennifer remarked to Mr. Archer as she clapped at the Seneschal's announcement; giving both men a nod of congratulations. "Congratulations are in order..."

Her eyes watched the Seneschal as she moved to talk to her coterie mate and someone she didn't know. Jennifer made a note to go congratulate the Seneschal on her appointment.

Emma clapped her gloved hands for the winners. Jose was breathtaking and Dillon did a wonderful job too. She was very proud of her family. Emma decided to wait and congratulate the winners later, there would be too many beasts around them at this time. What to do next was the question. Not just what to do tonight but for the next thousand or so nights. What did she want? Emma stood staring blankly at the nearest poster as if it would provide all the answers she needed.

Twist glanced to the unknown kindred, her eyebrow lifted at his words. Hmm'ing in agreement with Conner she shifted her attention back to him.

"I will find you once this is finished. It should not take long." The careful controlled tone of her voice left it very hazy on whether she meant speaking to Daymian or staking him.

Dipping her head to Conner she turned her dark eyes to Daymian. Despite his urge to have Twist and Conner finish their busineds it was clear that Twist expected Daymian to finish what he started The next words should be said with care.

[Dillon Connery]

Dillon answers the nods and smiles and various congratulations with a humble sort of grin of his own; tipping his brow where it is appropriate. The generous approval of Asa Clarke is met with a deeper bow of Dillon's head, with closed eyes. Gratitude to the Duke he is sworn to serve.

Dillon's mind is on a hundred different things at once, as he scopes out the rest of the crowd. The increased security of Valencia only one among them. Of course, the entire Domain fell under the duty of the Reeve and his Deputies, but Dillon would make sure that he expressed his thanks for Tenancy by doing more than just feeding and sleeping there. Conveniently, he would have José to help with that.

Giving a long, thoughtful look toward the Herald, satisfying himself that she appeared to be in no danger, Dillon sighs, so quietly that the expression on his face never changes. Glancing around, he notes Sidor and Ricardo engaged in conversation. Seeing to any new stragglers fell to him. Because if Conner had to handle things again, the Gangrel is sure he and his fellow Deputies would hear about it.

Approaching the pair that appeared to be waiting to catch Ariana free, Dillon thinks he recognizes one of them. Certainly, he's seen her at Elysium at least once. The other, though, is surely new. Dillon made sure to assess and remember men of that stature who carried themselves the way he did ( thejuan ). He gives them both a friendly smirk, speaking to the pretty blonde ( Chrisie ) first, by way of greeting. "Excuse me, ma'am; sir. I hope I'm not interrupting. I know that look is Marylin, but has anyone ever told you that you're a dead ringer for Cassandra Dawes?"

Herald Martha Villiers

Martha was obviously eager and happy in her applause to show support for the acts as Ariana reports the judging. Each name and act noted is applauded as the pause to do so offers itself. A respectful curtsy to the Prince when the Seneschal remarks upon his generosity...a happy nod to Dillon to show she had seen him, but judging was now over.

Seeing the Seneschal move back to her talk, Martha leans on her cane and sees if there is anyone who might need Acknowledging or wished to talk...Chase...? Jim Calloway?

Smiling to herself she decided not to risk walking too much so she leaned on her cane and watched, smiling cheerily, as Court unfold about her.

Lady Cassandra Dawes

Cassandra wasn't sure if Dillon was playing a joke on her, but..it didn't matter. He had Recognized her! With a perfectly Hollywood smile and the flash of eager eyes were added to be an ostentatious primping of her golden hair; "Why...yes, I am, Deputy! Oh...and congratulations on the win! Of course, I would have performed something myself only...I was escorting Mr Valentine here. Congratulations, though, Deputy."
