(1112) Sanctuary

[Gallows]

Gallows found himself alone with his coffee, having slipped into a lull in the conversation. Rather than try and insert himself into a conversation where he was not wanted, Gallows contented himself to sit back and watch the others around him. He kept an eye and an ear out for Councillor Morris or this Lux( Lux ) who was apparently the senior Silver Ladder--if he saw them, he would definitely try and strike up a conversation. He also kept an eye on Salem ( ArchonAres ), because he knew that the other Moros wanted to see Morris as well.

Gallows continues to sit at a table by himself--if anyone approaches, he will strike up a conversation.

[Ariadne]

Gideon gets a small wave as he makes his way over to Rosh. Have to learn more about that one. After a moment Ariadne turns her attention back to those close to her. She manages to hold back a raised eyebrow at Vaeltia. Who has been teaching you what girl?

There's a small smile at Prospero Benji , its almost like he knows Henry. "Later works fine, we can go over things in more depth then too." Not a mention of secrets, or puzzles, or mazes or anything. This is the public after all.

Ariadne turns her full attention back to Vaeltia and the quiet mage standing by her. "So Pulp explained the basics of how things work? We can just get to the meeting people if you'd like?"

Ahriman comes out into the room sipping his coffee. He waves at Pulp.

I took another sip of my coffee, nodded politely when greeted and generally just watched the interactions happening. I spotted Ahriman leaving a room and returned his wave with a cheers of my coffee cup.

[Benji]

Prospero shakes his head in the negative, turning down the offer. "Sorry, I'm on a diet."

He waves an acknowledgement to The Question when he approaches Rosetta, but doesn't say anything, content to let her talk as he takes a sip of his water. Then he follows her to the table.

As Rosetta takes her leave, Salem resists the urge to scratch at the back of his head in confusion, "Yes Ma'am. He laid down all the basics. Just need to show our faces around and get to meetin' people."

Having met a few people, Salem isn't feeling his lack of arms so much anymore.. and they are right. This place is crowded full of mages, as he looks around with his Dark Matter. So many willworkers, so much security behind the scenes... he was sure it'd be nigh impossible to actually plant a bomb like he'd suggested was possible. Especially with all the higher ups around. He shoved his hands in to the pockets of his brown leather italian jacket, trying to avoid fiddling, and glanced at Vaeltia, face this time rather than rear.

Vaeltia watched the other two leave, the slight feeling that she had stepped on a few toes with her emotions flooding through her head. She turned back to the herald and Epopt ( Ariadne ), “Yeah, he did explain some of the who, but I personally only have met you, Ixi and Tug; but only in passing. West and I have a more personal relationship, and I figure that I can introduce Salem myself, but the others...well that’s where I need your help.” she said with a small smile.

“So it would be appreciated.”

[Gallows]

Gallows saw Rosetta point to him, then head off to a table with some others. He might not be the perfect social butterfly, but he knew a cue when he saw it. Gallows made his way over to the table.

[Miach]

It had been a nice day overall. Very little in the way of work, much fun with his colleagues at the hospital, and even a nice game of cards that netted him a few extra bucks. Feeling all social and energetic, Miach decided to head to Written in Water for a last coffee before going back home. At best, he would meet a fellow Mystagogue and have a nice chat, at worst, he would meet no one and have a calm read with a hot cup of coffee. Win - win. So it was with a smile on his face, and a cup of cappuccino on his mind that the tall, red-haired Acanthus approached the coffeeshop.

As he came on the doorstep, he watched a couple of guys, a latino man in khali suits and another blonde man having a chat over a cigarette. Knowing not whether they might be Awakened or not, he dismissed them with a mere nod, and entered WiW. It was choke-full of people, but Miach didn't see anyone he knew. So he opted for the soundest course of action, and walked to the bar, where he ordered his favorite caffeine beuverage : an extra sweet cappuccino with milk.

Out of idle professional curiosity, Miach then idly drifted toward the science & medicine section of the library, wondering what he might find there.
