    Sidor Grigoriev

Sidor glanced at Dillon expectantly, thinking this would be the perfect time for the Savage to impart the information he knew. After all, this was something he had been present for, and the Russian Haunt expected Dillon to step up after his eagerness to prove himself. And then, nothing.

    Nothing.

Internally, Sidor sighed, and decided that he was going to buy Dillon a book on self-esteem. A long book. With detailed instructions.

"Brother Connery. I believe you had some insight on the situation?"
he said, his voice losing some of its surgical quality. Despite the shadows, Sidor was apparently making the effort to be supportive.

Josephine's expression remained quite neutral, and she merely waited to see if Dillon would supply further details. Now, even more than when she had first stepped into the room, she was eager to just begin.

Dillon's face is carefully passive when Sidor gives him the verbal nudge. Now I think he's just trying to mess with me...

Still curious at the goings-on between the Nosferatu family, and how much the Gangrel was the one out of the loop here, Dillon looks to Castor as he answers the question. "Firstly, Flores mentioned that a neonate named Auric met his end in the cemetery, chasing a meal and violating the grounds. After employing Deputy Greyson's assistance in the investigation, it was discovered that he appeared to be picked apart by a flock of Ravens." The Gangrel can't suppress a slight smile. "By the way if you're feeling particularly melodramatic, a flock of crows, thus sometimes by extension Ravens, is actually called a 'murder'...

"Anyway, I assume this conclusion was reached by virtue of Deputy Greyson's blood gifts, so we've speculated on a few possibilities for what he saw. Deacon Grigoriev informed us that it bears a striking resemblance to one of the Dark Miracles, but it could also just be meant to look that way. Auric could have been destroyed by actual birds, guided by one of our kind who can exert that sort of will over animals, or even one capable of becoming them."
He states the last part very matter-of-factly, leaving his Sire out of the conversation, this time. There is another subtle glance to Dr. Powell, looking for that flash of recognition in her eyes. That particular form Adonia took was well known enough so that only the most sheltered Kindred in a Domain she resided in wouldn't have known it. Still, there couldn't be that big of a coincidence at play, here. Coincidence doesn't exist.

Dillon covers the glance for Josephine's reaction by continuing the turn of his gaze back to Sidor, as though he is casually looking to everyone to include them in the conversation.

"The Deacon and I were planning to discuss it further with the Deputy, but it's been a juggling act between maintaining a watch on Moore House and attending to the other needs of our Requiem."

Castor pondered over this. He had heard of Kindred with such command of the blood and worldly beasts, but never had he encountered one. Deep down Castor found such powers disturbing. Dark Miracles were one thing, killing one of the Damned with crows was another. "That is rather disturbing." Castor's sounds casual. "What exactly is our security for Moore House and the grounds?" This particular church seemed ill defended, but he had traveled enough to have seen veritable castles made out of Sanctified churches. The fact that someone could get away with a murder meant that this particular church was rather lax.

"The resources we have at our disposal are... basic. Anton Flores had little care for this house," Sidor said quietly, his voice intense. The shadows on his face moved starkly, suggesting something predatory and hungry beneath them. If the Russian Haunt had felt this change, he made no indication of it. "There is a basic fire surpression system, alarms... everything you would expect in a mortal building of this type and age. The basements, once used for holding bodies before burial, are a degree more secure." The Nosferatu paused, the fingers of his scarred hand tapping once. Just once.

"Because Anton Flores made little attempt to defend against this intrusion, it is not certain whether or not it was the only one of its type. It is however, certain that there is a rogue Kindred in the Domain. Though this is nothing more than a building, because our Church and our Purpose exists within us, we still must identify the source."

Dillon absentmindedly rubs his chin in thought. His eyes flicker to the shadows of Sidor's face, catching the shift from the corner of his eye. He was unsure if it meant anything, or was simple the nature of the Deacon's curse. "We'll have to make some improvements to the security, then. Especially if we are to be setting up a hub of Sanctified knowledge here. I'm no electrician, but I'm fairly crafty. I could probably get some simple surveillance equipment wired up, which we can improve upon as we go...

"But we will still have to take turns at least patrolling the grounds a few times nightly. I admit that I'm eager to have a proper look around."
With that, he drops his hand to grip the other wrist on the table. Between his efforts among the Spear, which took priority, making the name Gangrel worth something in this domain, and his other projects, there was so much to attend to. But then, a busy Requiem is a fulfilling one.

"Well, the three of us can start work while Deacon Grigoriev is in the desert. Perhaps by the time you get back, we'll have something to show for it," Doctor Powell spoke up. She glanced to each of the men in turn, assuming that they would agree. It would be good for her to learn more from the other established Sanctified.

Nodding in agreement with Dr. Powell, Castor gazes around Moore House. "The nights when I am working on the library, I would be more than happy to patrol. If others are with me, there should be little danger. As for an investigation, I share Brother Connery and Sister Powell's sentiment. The sooner we search, the better." This is his new home. He wants it to be safe. His self confidence abates much of the fear he had about a homicidal elder. The Church's security may be lax, but he had little doubt in the ability of this family to resolve the issue.

Sidor nodded to the three of them in turn, his shrouded gaze hidden. They would not know that his hard eyes were approving of each of them. Finally, they had reached the consensus he had hoped that they would.

"I fully approve of your plans- and I will let you work the details out between yourselves. You have more than earnt that right. If I succeed in the desert, I will return to you and we will partake of Mass together. On that day, I will look forwards to hearing what you have accomplished," the Deacon said quietly. "Unless there is any other business... I believe we can safely conclude for this evening."

And thus I am sealed into my path.

Dillon returns the nod, bidding Sidor a fruitful Journey. "Strength of Purpose to you, Deacon Grigoriev. We will continue uphold the Canons in your absence." He may still have his suspicions about the man, but he fervently prayed they were unfounded.

Assuming no one brings up further business, Dillon will stand and leave as the others do. Leave the meeting, that is. Not Moore House. He still wanted to have that look around, and it was as good a night as any to take his watch.
