A second look

Having transported most of the materials she had made hers from the house to her own Sanctum where they could meet and have this looked over, some she did not trust to not have some kind of hidden way of tracking it but most of them well either they were extremely paranoid and she had utterly missed it during her examination or it just wasn´t there which why go to such extremes to begin with?

Just having thrown something quick and easy on, not really caring how she was dressed at the moment as she sits outside of her Sanctum waiting for her Councilor to arrive. Hoping that some of the materials could give some insight or be utilized somehow before she would head to the storage space, these were dangerous enemies and storming in without both a plan and proper preparation that would just be foolishness. No matter how much she honed herself at the end of the day she did tell everyone to not rush or overestimate themselves to not show that by example would be an insult to that sentiment.

Looking to the spot where her lifting log had been, a bit annoyed she had moved it to the Arrow quarters to make it accessible to train with for all of them, she would need to carve out a new one when time allowed for it but for now all she could do was sit still and wait.

The blonde Shaman arrives at the time requested, dressed casually in jeans and a tank top. Over which she had a leather jacket. Her dedicated magic tool was on her right arm and her hair was tossed in a lose messy bun.

As she walks up, a hand was held up, “Hey,” a smile offered, “hope I’m able to help.” Not really sure if she would be or not. But she had agreed to try.

Standing up as she saw her Councilor approach.
”Hello, thank you for coming.” Turning around and starting to head inside. ”The things are upstairs please close and lock the door behind you.” Walking through her workshop, currently clean with no direct project in the works other than a collection of random metal bits, pieces, wedges, pieces fused together, and various simple random things just lying around. None of them ones she had made. ”Can I offer you something to drink? Beer, water, tea, juice, soda or energy drinks, think I have some canned bubble tea left as well.” Taking of her shoes at the stairs before heading up with a swerve to the right to reach the kitchen herself. A box of disposable shoe covers placed by the stairs for those whom did not want to remove theirs.

The living room looking like it normally did, the comfortable recliner having blankets neatly placed by its side, soft pillows resting on the couch, the newest thing being a piece of wood she had carved down to make it look like a baseball bat rested against a stump hanging on the wall over the couch. And the thick curtains into her sleeping alcove properly adjusted to divide that part of her home away from sight.

There was a raise of her eyebrows, lock the door? “Expecting unwanted company?” but she does as the Arrow asks, locking the door as she follows her. Remember that Skye likes people to take their shoes off, she slips her boots off. At the offer, she shakes her head, “Uh, no, I’m good thanks.” Still following.

“I didn’t realize the investigation was still going on this. That there had not really been any big developments. Do you think you’re onto something?”

Shaking her head.
”No, just being cautious.” They had to many enemies around, even a second of bought time should something happen meant a chance for them to better prepare themselves.

Changing her trajectory at the declined offer to head into the living room where the things were waiting instead, happy to see that her guest had taken of her boots.
”They have been, I have just not been in a position to share much of it.” It was Witch´s investigation, not for her to speak of beyond the most crucial. ”I might be, but am not certain as of yet. But I do have found the cigarette butt of the likely person from the other house in question kept for the dried saliva. Along with a get the hell out of Dodge bag, further investigations have lead me to learn of a likely place for them to be storing an emergency getaway car, possibly other data or things they would like to keep as well. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to investigate the locale yet but I believe I might have the key to both it and the vehicle.” It had been some fun hours scouring the maps to locate that one.

[Aurora]

Another arch of her eyebrow, “I see. Though if there have been any developments, I believe it’s critical to share them as they come up. But I’ll leave that to you.” Though it was a little…unsettling.

She listens, “How long have the items been sitting? And how long have they been exposed to the elements? And do you know for sure they are from whomever you are investigating? I mean, all kinds of people smoke and discard cigarette butts, so I worry it could belong to some random Sleeper. Have you considered that possibility?” wanting to make sure every avenue was considered.

“And if you have all this other intel, why not share it with the Consilium as a whole? Surely there are others with access to Arcana that could be very useful with it.” Why had she been sitting on it and not including the others?

"But lets take a look, see what we can learn."

”It has been an investigation, most of it just looks into matters without anything to noteworthy to report until now, the information I have discovered that were in need of it has been shared. But the investigation is not mine, hence I have chosen to not speak much of it until they deemed we have enough for a report.” Had it been her own investigation then yes more info would have been shared quicker.

A better question.
”Most items have either been in a backpack, hidden away, or wrapped tight with no access to air, the cigarette butt is the main one to have been exposed to the elements and judging by the state of the surroundings so for quite some time, possibly since the explosion.” Well that was the hope at least. ”It can be a random Sleeper, it can be one of the Hunters, it can be anyone, so this is to cover bases.” Not one to throw herself or others into riskful situations if it could be avoided.

A soft shake of the head.
”What I have is at present limited, other than found items, and a likely storage place for a vehicle there is not much to speak of. As such I contacted you as soon as I had found that much out to be able to give a deeper more proper report, but it should be done together with the lead one on this task whom sits on more in depth information than I do.” No need to give two half reports. ”And even then the full version would likely be shared in a controlled manner to avoid Mateus for now, my trust in that man is none existent.”

Putting on a pair of gloves and taking the backpack to begin and sort its content on the table, taking out a S&W gun, a taser, bowie knife, a wallet with $200 made up of various bills, a city road map, a small compact first aid kit, an empty flip journal and 2 pens (1 blue, 1 black), a multi tool, a key ring with two keys one looking to be a vehicle one to a building, a partial dust cloth, and lastly a small plastic tube with the cigarette butt inside.
”The container was part of the trap they set, the compound is Capsaicin.” Turning her eyes to her guest. ”The house was packed with recording devices, and traps much in line with how the Hunter of the house that blew up would be acting based on my limited intel about him.”

[Aurora]

Was the blonde sure she completely trusted what was being said? Not really. Not after what Chambers had shared. But, she said she would help, and so, here she was.

“Huh, I see.” Seemed a bit of an odd way of going about things, but here she was.

A slight nod, “So a random cigarette butt then, with what you are hoping is a tie to the explosion.” Long and short of it.

Again with this whole secret lead, and no trust in Mateus. “How do you plan to avoid sharing what could be critical information with a member of the Concilium? If these items you’ve gathered do prove to have useful information and links to the enemy,” a big if there, “there is no reason for it not to be shared with the Concilium as a whole. Aside from you not trusting someone. I cannot, in good faith, withhold knowledge of a dangerous situation that could put others at risk. Nor do I believe you should either.” Leveling her eyes on the Arrow.

“Were any of the devices recovered? And what intel do you have on him? If you know he is a Hunter, why hasn’t the intel been brought to the Hierarch and a plan formed to remove him?” seemed like a logical step if they knew he was a Hunter and had intel on him.

Not sure what to make of the reply nor showing any reaction to it, having more important matters at hand. And should she be taking a blow for something she could stand for then so be it.

”Left in place of where one of our enemies would most likely have been during the events, yes. But nothing certain.” Lacking to many details herself. ”Unfortunately I have been left to handle this task without having been given some details myself.”

Now that was easier to answer as she looks back to meet the womans eyes.
”At base I agree with you. Important matters that can prove dangerous needs to be disclosed to everyone for all of our safety, some parts though are not needed for all.” An easy thing and far from uncommon from what she had seen. ”If next steps or rather where I and whomever if anyone accompanies me will head next though I hold no desire for him to know unless it proves to need to be disclosed for all. A man that cannot even keep from discussing some of our most basic things to be silent about amongst Sleepers is not one I trust to not blab about it in public where the wrong ears might hear it.”

Shaking her head.
”The devices could not be safely retrieved at the time no.” To pressing time, and trackers. ”The information that he is a Hunter and this other person a likely member of their cell comes from information Thirteen has shared. I have no further intel on him, nor anything of note I have not already shared with you.” A lot of remnants, and hidden things for an insight but nothing really tangible. ”This angle is still being investigated, should it bear tangible results we can hopefully utilize them to formulate a plan for that goal.” But at present she only had potentials nothing fully tangible.

[Aurora]

Now that was quite an accusation, “That is quite the accusation to be making against him. And I’m not putting any stock into it until I’ve heard his side of what you’re claiming. If your words are true, then yes, it’s an issue and problem that needs to be addressed as quickly as possible.” Because of course. “That being said, whatever is learned today, I cannot keep to myself if asked, just letting you know now. This is an investigation that could involve Hunters, which are a threat to the safety of everyone, yes everyone, in the Concilium. So if asked by the Hierarch, I will report what I find. It is his call who gets to know what.” Making sure Skye knows where she stands.

So Thirteen had some information on this. “And Thirteen couldn’t help with this?” looking at the object, wondering if there was any evidence that could even be traced anymore. Magic only did so much. But she had been surprised in the past. “And Thirteen is planning on assisting you on formulating this plan, right? You’re not about to run off on this yourself?” there were so many question and red flags for her. But if Thirteen knew about this investigation, she felt a little, slightly, better about looking into the object.

“Lets see what, if anything, is traceable on that, go from there.”
