[ctl]Fine with a handwave as well. Feel free to rib Circe for her gushing of rabbits or cats trained by the magicians[/ctl

Spring MantleShaking her head, “The food was the place that John found. Excellent food and an amazing show. Next time there is another show, you have to check it out!” she gushes, hope she was both praising Kray for finding it, and the location. “I was just saying that I found the sushi place and was saying that I won’t say no to us all hitting it up after, and wouldn’t say no to being paid in food for the ticket.” A hand waves, “The whole lost in translation or talking or something.” Something something.
Laughing, “If it’s small, cute and fuzzy, I just might fight you for it.” Of course, Circe would win, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t try! Mina likes cute things too!
“From what you’ve described, I can see why it would be a symbol of status! And I want to see it done live!” mismatched eyes lighting up with excitement! Would she be disappointed if they didn’t have that act? Yes. But she would understand, she was sure they had a ton of acts to get through.
Nodding, “But one hundred percent worth checking out!” nodding again.
The seats were easy enough to find and she was quite eager for the show to start. Wondering what they were going see for illusions and magic.
Smiling as Sven followed them in and took a seat.
From the pictures on the website, and the couple seconds of shorts I could find, these magicians and illusionists go all out! From water stunts to fire and everything in between! Gonna drop a few of the shorts in here…so we can pull things to talk about IC

Sushi party? Sure, why not?
"Still a VERY dramatic name for an act," Circe asserts onwards on the Table of Death's name.
She looks up at Kray as he explains the venue variance for magical shows. "Oooh," she rubs the back of her head and sticks out her tongue, "I forgot. My sweet ass is sometimes dumb." And a voice tuts again at her. Sounds like the same one. Circe looks in the direction, spots the one doing the noise, and has a rather completely mature reaction to the tutting. "Derp, derp to your tut tut."
She was aware of what would get her thrown from venues. And what'd piss off stuck up assholes most without crossing that line. The tutting lady was most certainly showing signs of rage. Maybe she'd get some Glamour out of this. Extra positive? There were a few kids here that were starting to imitate her. Bad influence can be added to her evils for tonight.
"Challenge accepted for fluffiness," she laughs along with Mina in jest. Probably. Maybe? Assuredly.
Well, she should behave after they take their seats. The stuck up lady was going to a completely different section, no way to keep pissing her off as she follows the group inside.

MantleSo it looks like we are skipping past the show to talk about it after the fact? Apologies if I've got that wrong.
Naturally the seats had been to small, that was true just about anywhere the giant went and equally he had been in the way of a bunch of people behind him much to their displeasure, but the ogre's rough looking mask had the benefit of conveying that predatory something in the way eh smiled, the way he looked at people at it tended to shut them up pretty quick. And so it is now that the giant is prizing himself from the seat and trying to work some feeling back into his long legs, feelings other then the pins and needles. "Huh. Now that was a show. Motorized blades and everything." The regular clapping had at least kept his arms moving to avoid the same fate as his legs. "Uh. Knocks this other performance I saw out of the park, their chainsaws didn't even have blades or belts attached. These guys really were something else." It might not have been the table of death but high speed sharp objects being used seems to have scratched that particular itch. "Hm. Right it's the sushi bar next right?" No matter how good the show he sure had not forgotten about the talk of food.

MantleSven was, as per usual, quiet. More specifically, he was feeling contemplative and lost in thought. It had been a wonderful show, lovely! Worth the price of admission, even pretending his admission wasn't more or less free. But now his mind was rolling around all the possible ways to explain away the 'magic' of it all. How did that trick work, where was the hand-off in that set? The smaller King was so lost in thought that he had almost failed to notice where they were going.
In fact, he had nearly walked right into the Gristlegrinder before getting a hold of himself. "Oh. Yes. Dinner, after the show. Right." He paused a moment before finding himself unable to hold back the question. "How do you think the one card trick worked?" He didn't elaborate, probably because his brows were soon furrowed in contemplation, even as he continued to try to keep pace.

Spring MantleThe Manikin had been wide-eyed the whole show! Eyes not leaving the stage and the performers the whole night, cheering and clapping.
“That was amazing!” face aglow as they were leaving, “Like, how are those things possible?!” looking up to Kray, because for some reason, he’s become her go to for magic and illusions.
“Oh, right! Sushi!” clearly, she had forgotten, “Everyone is invited! It’s not that far, and the prices are super affordable!”
Seemed like even Sven was down for dinner! Awesome!
“You know, I’m not sure. Maybe slight of hand, but I just don’t know. They’re so good at it.”

The Larcenist would claim her lack of issue with the seat is due to her Kith's flexibility and nothing to due with the hours she spends sitting around in dark rooms. Be it mechanical or hacking, she spends a lot of time sitting.
"Little confused why those doves panicked on getting near us," she blinks owlishly as she states her confusion. Be it the Fang and Talon contract or maybe Circe's Summer Mantle, they didn't like her at all. The handler was quick on the recovery though.
"Super affordable sushi? I trust this will be a lot instead of a little fishy, oh ho ho ho," a little twist on the pun. "I eat rotten fish, so I ain't turning down raw," Circe eats proper Italian cuisine so she shall not cast shade on other fishy food. Can't be worse than Hedge faire.
"Practice, practice, practice Devon," she tells Svelte. "Mastery of skills will result in impressive feats," she takes out a coin, flips it, and tries to roll it on her fingers when it lands with a quick action to palm it off to disappear from her hand.
1 success
It doesn't quite work as she is too slow for it to not be followed. "And I am out of practice. Severe criticism will result in fish and squid puns all night. The latter will suck," there is no threat of Summer malice nor rage in her words. Which should be much more worrying as her voice is quite gleeful instead.
Dinner could come with an annoying sideshow.

MantleThe giants own thoughts are taken up with combination of the show and the food that would soon to be and thus fails to notice the winter king nearly colliding with him. Instead patting his obese belly, which remains far to solid under impact to be simply fat. "Uh. The answer is simple, magic, of a kind." He knew of course it was sleight of hand and distraction, very literal and real smoke and mirrors but they had been good enough to leave the ashen king none the wiser of the precise methods. "Ha. It does make you think doesn't it." Sure they could not leap dozens of feet peel fears out of peoples mind or shape dreams. They could not do real magic. But the ogre could not do as they did either so.
His answer was just applicable to the seemingly ecstatic Mina. "Uh. In truth." Greta shoulders shrug. "Ah. I got no idea to they ways and means of it all, but it was very skillful." And provided a lot of ideas. "Hm. They can pull the wool over even our eyes, that counts for quite a bit." Humans could be plenty tricky all by themselves. "Oh. You found the place so you lead the way." Given Mina knew where it was that made the most sense.
As for Circe's question, it was also possible having the king of fear sat in the seat next to her could have had some kind of impact on the doves. "Uh. I am real big Mary." A his breath usually had the scent of rotting meat upon it. "Hm. Might have had something to do with it." Size and the scent of dead things did not usually make animals comfortable. "Uh. Why do you eat rotten fish?" Raw he could understand, but even his hunger usually veered away from rotting things, especially now better options were always available. "Ah. that is still better then I could likely mange so no criticism here." The giants hands were in truth no less dexterous then the average persons but they sure didn't look like tools of fine manipulation.

Mantle"Obviously, sleight of hand, yes." Sven's response was clipped, though not irritable. It just seemed obvious, though the intensity of his thought might have made him seem a little less polite than usual. The Whisperwisp caught himself and gave a sheepish smile at Mina. "Sorry. I was a little... fixated. Yes, you're probably right." He coughed lightly before moving on. "Anyway, I'm just following you all. I haven't the foggiest idea where to go"
He rolled his eyes at Circe's comment about eating rotten fish, partly hoping it was just a poor attempt at humor, though he offered a polite golf clap at her own performance. "You may want to heed your own advice if you ever hope to make it on the big stage. But I'd give you an 'A' for effort." He wasn't especially worried to suffer Circe's threatened puns; the Winter King was confident that nothing would stop her from making her puns anyway.
Svelte Sven was no stranger to sleight of hand, it was often a part of his 'honest' thieving efforts. "All 'magic' is deception, even the kind that really seems like magic." He said to Kray with a shrug. "Sure, the 'real' magic is the kind that is so good of a deception that nobody can guess how it's done, but it's deception nonetheless." Even Contracts operated on some specific system of principles, it was just that very few actually knew what that entailed. "So, I guess my real question is, if the trick was a switch, when did it happen? Was it at the very beginning, when the assistant was on stage? Was the real card up their sleeve the whole time?" He smiled a little. "It's just fun to try to puzzle it out."

Spring MantleA light shrug to Circe, “Maybe they were new doves or maybe they just didn’t know a good thing when they saw it. But birds are birds.” So she wasn’t reading too much into it.
Laughing, “Affordable in the sense that it isn’t one of those expensive places. I went there to check it out and everything. Really good.” Nodding.
“Have to agree with Mary there. I’ve been doing ballet for practically my whole life, the years of training leading me to be top of my profession. So I bet they’ve been training for years, it’s quite impressive what they can do!”
Smiling up at the giant Orge, “Still quite impressive to watch! The mixture of the illusions and the stage presence was so much fun.” She had quite enjoyed the whole thing. The way they were able to draw your attention while able to trick you was good. “Oh! Yah, this way!” and will start leading them toward the restaurant, which, as stated, wasn’t that far.
Smiling to Sven with a shake of her head, “Oh you’re fine.” Not worried about the clipped tone, she was enjoying herself too much.
Looking a bit thoughtful, “You know, I never really thought about it. Have you always been interested in illusion and magic?” she asks the King of Winter, “Or are you more interested in how things work? I think for me it’s the magic and illusion that fascinates me, I don’t know if I would really want to know how it works exactly.” From her tone, she was just curious about Sven and his interest in it.
Soon they were coming up on the strip mall, a building that say Fuji! “Oh, it’s also an all you can eat.” She says casually, to no one in particular. But it did have the boats that brought various sushi around.
