Waving away Circe's offered hand of help, he was quiet capable of climbing under his own power. "Nah. I got it." Sven was by the looks of him more likely to need that hand then himself. "Ah. Although turning the light down would be appreciated." It was still a bright thing to have climbed up into. "Uh. I don't know what a magic carpet would need, but if I have it right they have someone heavily bandaged up riding it." Not worried if he was overheard showing a few cards in his hand could serve quite well to making to seem like he was more in the know then he was. It also meant he could get an idea if Sam Crow had been leading him or or given an accurate account of things.

Waving over at the spring queen to get her attention. "Uh. We also want to know why they are here, not just about the cool carpet." But the ogre does seem quite content to not directly intervene with the other lost below them, the duty of direct communication feel first and foremost to the director, even more as she seems to have been the one already mid conversation.

Her black hair often seems slightly unkempt, and an amused smile regularly plays on her lips. Sonnie is usually dressed casually or for outdoor activity. She almost always has on a pair of red leather tabi boots, and has an old Chinese coin, bronze, worn about her throat on a black leather string.

"There was chocolate?!" How had she missed that? Maybe she just forgot? It happens. A lot. Shaking her head to clear it (not that there was much in there to begin with), Sonnie sighed in annoyance, "Fine, fine, fine. We'll do the boring thing and trade for rope. Bleh."

Did she notice the sneaky Darkling? No, but then she wasn't looking for him. The Beast's focus (such as it was) fell upon the two strangers.

Kray had a point, and the Ogress' loud reaction to the mention of a flying carpet told her all she needed to know. "Oh, so there is a flying carpet? Great! Where is it? Oh, also do you want to trade this delicious bacon for some boring rope? OH! Also also! Why are you here running a 7-11 in the Hedge?" That the Ogress had apparently signaled someone inside the structure was noted but not remarked upon.

"Kay," she nods and moves the lights away from Kray. Then moves aside as he climbs up, but stays mum on the matter of Sven. No show of sweeping again after him though. Enough over acting.

Circe scowls behind her gas mask. Was she going to have to be diplomatic again? Again? She is a Summer! She doesn't want to be diplomatic when not earning a paycheck! Well, wad of cash or digital transfer via dark web, but same principle. They were probably here because they had wounded. Or maybe the Slurpee machine was legit. "Wounded, raiding, or Slurpee machine would be my guesses," she mumbles after Kray asks why they are here.

Was now a good time to ask about the one about the farmer? And not the lead pipe, cross-eyed cow joke but the angry farmer that was yelling at kids.

"Uh, do you, uh, have the healing contracts best Beastie?" she asks Sonja, not bother to hide it. "I got armor, weapons, stuff, and a reflective face. But if they got someone needs healing, that'd be something to trade too. Just saying since the sexy muscle mommy is kind of on edge," she points at the Ogre. "And I've got health whiskey to barter too, so there is that if you can't."

But that she'd have to farm to replace. Sonja would have to farm to replace her Glamour, but it should be easier for Sonja to make children laugh than it was for Circe to hoe out the dirt.

Svelte Sven is, true to his name, very slight of frame. Standing at 5 feet and 4 inches tall and weighing barely more than 100 pounds, he is best described as scrawny. His dark hair is pulled high and tight and looks to be waxed. He has sharp cheek bones and there are deep circles under his eyes. His thin lips are often pursed in a polite, empty smile. His dress of choice is a black suit with a white bowtie. He is not particularly handsome, nor is he strikingly ugly.
    Behind the Mask

    Mien

Without the Mask, Svelte Sven is unmistakably a Darkling. His pallid complexion, sallow cheeks, and blackened flesh under his eyes give him a ghoulish appearance. Combined with his natural thinness, he looks almost skeletal. His ears have an elfin point to them, extending and tapering out for five inches. Occasionally, they seem to twitch in response to some far-off conversation. Closer inspection reveals his Mantle as a faint, white glow.

Today was most certainly not Svelte Sven's lucky day. He hadn't completely stumbled and fallen over, but this was far from the graceful disappearing act that he was used to giving. It frustrated him, but there wasn't much more he could except hunker down low and try to keep away from prying eyes.

    2 successes

At least the Winter King had managed to reposition himself a little easier, even if he might end up being noticed. But that was a problem to worry about if it happened and not a moment sooner; the incorrigible Whisperwisp was already crafting a dozen different lies to spew if he ended up discovered.

OOC: I accidentally mis-clicked my dice pool earlier, but the result ended up being the same, so. Oh well. I also really need to remember that Darkling's get 9-again on Stealth...

With Kray’s careful feeding of knowledge the Lost could see the women tense, hands holding their weapons with an alert readiness, secrets exposed, but with Queens’ seeming irreverence, that tenseness unconsciously loosens. They do not move their hands from their weapons yet.

"Traders and good samaritans.” it sounds like it should be a question, but the Ogress has left out any of the proper tonal inflection needed for a question.

The Ogress and the Fairest share a look, then the Fairest nods, moving towards closer, "I’ll throw up the rope to you, catch it and fasten it to a tree. Climb down one at a time,” She briefly disappears from view as she moves to the cliff wall, returning with a coil of rope. It must have been placed at the bottom for situations like this.

If the Lost look, they’ll see that the rope is a thick coil, with fairly weight knots in even intervals along the length.

With an ease she tests the rope’s weight, then when the momentum is right, tosses it up towards the Lost. It’s easy enough for them to catch if they want to.

After the throw, the Dancer Mantis adds, "The big one,” Kray "Can go last.”

Sven eases his way into the shadows, as he makes the arduous work of making his way down the slow incline that would bring the sharp point of the escarpment to a gradual roll of more manageable ground.

The Summer’s they’ve met, do not seem to have noticed him yet.

Sorry that this took so long, and sorry that it isn't super duper great but I just wanted to get something out

After the rope is tied, if you do in fact tie it, you can roll a dex + athletics +2 to climb it and Sven I'd like another Dex+Athletics for his own decent
(if I"m missing something obvious please tell me, today's been a lot and my brain isn't braining well)

"Ah. Thanks." The ogre directs to Circe when the light is moved away.

But if he had to guess his fellow ogre down below had just given an answer to what the four summers were doing here, the giant decides to chance it. "Uh. If they are traders and good Samaritans, why not stop by the freehold? Good Samaritans have nothing to worry about from us and a freehold is more likely to have stuff to trade then a random spot in the hedge." This of course being reliant that he had guessed what the ogress meant correctly.

Although he doesn't take all to well to this random summer courtier telling him what to do it would seem, and he leans his great head out other the edge a little to grin down with his nasty toothy grin. "Oh. If I scare you that much I can stay up here, keep an eye on things." A brief pause as if he was thinking. "Oh. Maybe your companion, the squirrelly one who likes to climb could join me." Feeding out more and more to show them they held fewer cards then they might have thought or hoped. "Ha. We could keep each other company while the trading happens." Having spent all of his trade stock on Sam Crow and his information, that and the only proper elements of gift giving to a host.

"Something wrong with the Goblin Market?" If you wanted to sell stuff, why not go to the mall? Maybe this was more of a Mom and Pop operation?

"Yeah," was her quick answer to Circe. Of course she had healing contracts. What kind of Spring Queen would she be without them?

The rope? That was caught in one deft hand, the other holding up the box of bacon. "Sooooo... so you want me to throw this down to you... or should I keep it?" Her question ended with a hopeful tone. It was bacon, after all. If she could find some bread, tomatoes and lettuce, maybe some mayo... Hmmm, what would Hedge Mayo be like?

    Focus, dumbass!

The Beast had no need of the rope, but Circe, and maybe Kray did. If Kray was climbing, which it seemed like he might not.

Where's Sven? Is he still at the farm?

"Squirrels?" Sonnie looked about like an excited dog. No, pay attention! Maybe she should tie that rope to something.

After scanning about for a moment, she moved to tie it to a convenient tree or rock or stump or whatever. "I'm gonna use my special knot!"

    Tie tie tie!

    1 success

That was some elaborate tying work. It... would probably hold. Right? When it was done, she looked at Circe. "Ladies first?" The thick rope was proffered to the Blue Elf.
