The man, Michael, is quaking as Otto helps him to his feet. He is visibly frightened. He barely glances at Otto before looking at Mr. Jake.
At Otto's position, he can see Mr. Jake's skin looks stretched tight. Mr. Jake's eyes appear to have sunken in a bit. Mr. Jake had began to reach for Michael, his fingers making quick grasp and release motions. Yet as Otto helps Michael, Mr. Jake takes a step back. Mr. Jake presses his back into the wall, his brown eyes wildly staring towards the door.

"Of course we could use assistance. Go next to Mr. Aker. You can be the one to administer the next test." Kristen states to Alicia. "Offering him blood from your cut arm."

Mr. Jake's eyes lock onto Kristen at these words. Mr. Otto's eyes swing to Alicia. He looks to be calculating.

"You'd be happy to know that if he passes that," Kristen's eyes swing to Otto. "- we would be happy to drive him to Urgent Care.
Now, you had some questions last time we spoke. Some reservations. How about you tell us what you have done while we finish out this test? Faster we are done, faster we can move on..."

The torch lighter flicks on. The Beast immediately has a reaction - can you withstand the danger?

Mr. Jake visibly flinches. Yet he remains still.

Kylar heard the steps and deciding at that it was now or never. He pulls the alarm and then heads back the way he came acting like he is evacuating the building due to the fire alarm.

The sheer audacity. If there weren't a dire, pressing need to maintain their cover, Otto would have ripped into the women in front of him. Even if they were ignorant of what it was they were suggesting, the very idea of forcing a vinculum between two Kindred was beyond abhorrent.

"I can do it." He offered flatly. "I didn't really give her fair warning that she might get blood drawn today, so it wouldn't be right." It was even a bit close to the truth. Otto planned to draw out the process so that they'd never actually get to the sharing of Vitae, but if anyone had to do it, as Priscus of Ventrue in Sacramento, it was his responsibility.

"What have I been doing? Well, looking into a possible serial killer, for one." The Priest felt a sense of satisfaction at that. It was the unvarnished truth. He just wasn't mentioning how 'looking into' was selling short the fact that he was formulating a way to 'disappear' the man in question and bury him in a church cemetery. His oblique gloating was interrupted by a flicker of flame, however.

Unsure if they knew what they were suggesting, or the dangers, there were so many many many ones. Be it how tales spoke which they undoubtedly knew some manner of, or be it the truth of what would happen would she do something like that. Either way a deplorable thing not at all in line with what she had been offering to assist with, yet it seemed like they had the information they wanted though unfortunately enough. The mere thought shuddering, what kind of experiments had they done on this poor Kindred?
"Not exactly the scientific expertise I hold." And an insult to have them even think of leaving a mark on her skin like that, eyes flickering over towards Otto. "That would be most kind, I fear my own strength to hold anyone back or pull away would be trivial in comparison to yours." He definitely looked to be the stronger of the two, and far better to let him keep this within the family should the worst possible outcome come to play, doubting either of them would enjoy it should she but in there.

"Urgent care?" Looking over towards him, and back to the group how could they feel safe to release him to urgent care? Either he was a clear enemy of theirs, or they were all guilty of kidnapping and torture neither something she would exactly want to let anyone have a chance to speak of, about to speak as the flame moves against her making her bite down in silence to resist the bestial urges to flee welling up inside of her.

Azoth finds himself in the same stairway as a quick moving, thin man. The man looks pale and unwell. "Fire!" The man looks frightened. "Did you see it?" He asks Azoth. He appears very close to him.

The Fire Alarm rings out. All rooms hear a blaring clarion sound of an unmissable fire alarm.

"Serial killer?" Interest flickers in Kristen's eyes. "After all this, we should talk about this. Yes, of course you can cut yourself to expose your blood. Yet..." Her eyes flick to Mr. Jake who is going by Mr. Aker. Mr. Jake has maintained his absolute stillness in the presence of fire. He does not look well. He looks rather sickly and stressed.
Yet he has not succumbed to Frenzy at this fire challenge. As the fire alarm rings out, Mr. Jake jerks. His eyes move to his Priscus. Mr. Jake seems to be looked for any clues.

"Mr. Aker you have resisted this fire." The item is placed into the custom pouch on Kristen's belt.
"We cannot risk lives if there is a fire in this old motel. Do you want a drive to Urgent Care? You have withstood three rather trying challenges. Do you have your phone number?"
This last question is directed at Otto.
Elisa unlocks the motel door and takes a key out of her pocket. She is looking around, alert. Her eyes light on Azoth and the man descending the staircase.

Kylar avoided the eyes of the thin man, "No I did not I just heard the alarm and left my room." he said in a tone that was just loud enough to be heard over the alarm.

Taking a quick glance at the evacuation map and heading towards the evacuation area in hopes to use the crowd to leave the area undetected.

As he descends the staircase, he inconspicuously glances around taking note of anyone that may be looking his way.

Was it finally nearing an end? Were the trials and tribulations of this particular episode about to cease? Only the Lord and his Centurion know for certain. Otto stared into Mr. Jake's eyes, trying very hard to convey the message that he needed to remain calm for only a few moments more. "Urgent Care sounds wise." He said mildly before turning to Kristen. "We can touch base on this later, sure." He reached into his pocket and feigned some frustration. "Wrong phone..." He murmured. "Here, the number is..." The Ventrue gave the number for a burner phone, one that he never used for Kindred business.

Let's just conclude this sordid affair and be done with it. He thought bitterly, starting to move towards the nearest exit in the hopes that they could evacuate the building with Mr. Jake in tow.

Reacting to the sudden sounds of the alarm, and the motions for them to at long last seemingly get to leave this uncomfortable group but all the more relieved that the lighter were finally put away as she inhales and looks around.

Mostly ignoring their fellow Kindred more than the curious looks associated with the role of the evening.
Showing them all a flashed half worried smile as her eyes scans the area around them to make sure the passage out would indeed be safe for them all before starting to move behind her fellow Priscus having no qualms with a chance to finally get to leave this place, still not fully believing them about the urgent care though, the thought that anyone would cause this kind of torture on someone with their faces on full display and then just let them go not sitting right.

Kylar sees the man nod respectively. He seems quick moving and nervous. This unknown man keeps pace with Kylar as Kylar descends down to the first floor. Kylar would note that one of the mortal women exiting the first level motel rooms is looking directly at him. She looks at him for a moment before moving towards a vehicle in the parking lot and unlocking it. She pulls out a smart phone and appears to be sending a message as she stands at the driver side of the door.

"I am guessing this place is not going to be taking a head count. I am going to call the Fire Department." She speaks to Kristen as Elisa begins to tap keys on her smart phone.

"Alright..." Kristen is typing the number that Otto speaks into her phone. She is quiet for a moment as she sends a quick message to it. "I sent you a text so that you have my number."
She pulls out a VISA card from her pocket and places it in the space between 'Mr. Aker and herself on the beat up wooden table. She wisely does not approach the sickly looking man. "If we have contributed to your illness, we will pay to cover the cost of your Urgent Care, Mr. Aker. We'll be at the same hotel tonight and tomorrow if you need anything from us. We do mean that- we will help you recover if you need it.
We did not mean to harm a person in our city. We were afraid you were one of the monsters."

That is all that there is time for. Kristen and the man have joined Elisa in standing beside the car. The parking lot has three other people standing there. most look thin or malnourished. The people are looking up at the motel with worry. There is no one taking charge.
Mr. Jake begins moving jerkily towards the door although he forces himself to stop and take the card.

His eyes turn as he eyes the emotional, distracted people in the parking lot. Mr. Jake has now exited the control of this group of investigators.
