It was oh so nice to be eating something that bleed freely again, it might not a person but this was the closest he had been in a while. Even better the next course had just delivered itself into feasting range. Dropping the remnants of the last vines in a sloppy bloody, sappy mess at his feet the giant reaches out large grey hands with a his wicked grin splitting into an open baring of terrible teeth. Intentions quite clear.

Yanking the blade back, the damn thing wasn't letting go, yet more were coming. Combat reflexes honed, she slams in a new shell quickly to fire something special at the oncoming hoard, hoping to make them hesitate if the next cluster enroute lights up.

A Beast gains the benefit of the 8 again rule when using the Animal Ken Skill, and receives a free Specialty for the one animal that most reflects the Beast’s seeming. That same wild nature gives a Beast a powerful personal magnetism. A Beast’s player can spend points of Glamour to add to dice pools involving Presence and Composure. Each point of Glamour spent adds one die to one dice pool.
Curse
Although the Beasts regained their consciousness when they came through the Hedge, their time as beings of thoughtless instinct has taken its toll on each of them, and most find it very hard to make use of academic or trained skills. A Beast’s player suffers a –4 dice untrained penalty when trying to use a Mental skill in which the character has no dots. Further, although Beasts can be very clever indeed, they’re out of practice making those leaps of ingenuity that so characterize human genius. A Beast’s player doesn’t re-roll 10s when using a dice pool involving Intelligence.

Runs Like the Wind: the changeling adds two points to Speed (cumulative with the Fleet of Foot Merit, if the changeling possesses it).

Woodblood

Fade into the Foliage: in any outdoors area where there are plants growing from the earth (in a garden, for example, but not in a concrete yard with a couple of shrubs in pots), the character gains the benefit of the 9 again rule on dice pools involving Stealth and Survival. The player can also spend a point of Glamour to hide in a place where he couldn’t normally hide, making a Stealth roll as usual. There has to be a reasonable amount of foliage there. The character couldn’t hide using a small patch of moss or a single dandelion, but could use a flowerbed, a lawn or a sapling.

Elements
Armor of Elements Fury: The character surrounds herself with a damaging manifestation of the element. The character does half of her Wyrd (round up) lethal damage by touch, and anyone or any object that strikes her suffers this same damage. The changeling cannot combine this attack with a punch or any other conventional brawling or melee attack. Instead, the character must use the element to attack the target. The dice pool for this attack is Dexterity + Brawling + half of the character’s Wyrd. This elemental sheath also provides the character with one point of armor useful against all attacks, including attacks by the summoned element. The character can cause the element to cover only a small portion of the character, such as one hand and forearm or her head, but attempting to reduce its size further causes the element to vanish and ends the Contract. Otherwise, the element surrounds the character for the next scene.

[Saber Sloth]

Kray's roar echoes through the hedge, the magic fails, but his might is still terrible, and while the vines thrash and try to break free of the Ogre's arms, they fail to.

Circe, quick reflexes has the flare shot loaded and fired! It hits into the cluster not bound by Kray's might, causing a strange inhuman sheik to echo, rattling between each branch and other vines. The cluster rears back, serpentine in movement, and obviously burned from where the flare had hit it. And now, visibly staying clear of where the shot would have landed.

The burned vines, circle each other, then spit something viscus, and nearly neon in colour at Circe, who's combat skills, and armour prevent it from touching her!

Mina's glacial armour, combined with Jack's woodborn counter point, the vines grappling him twitch before falling to the ground dead.

[Mina]

The roar that came out of the giant sent shivers down her ice encased body. That was not a pleasant sound.

Then came the shirk from the vines, still not a pleasant sound, but not as fear inducing as the roar from the Orge. But the vines drop from Jack, and that was the point.

She knew Jack had to be hurting, but there wasn’t much she could do, more vines were coming.

So she moves to place herself slightly in front of Jack, hoping it would give him a chance to breathe and the vines to focus on someone else.

These vines were putting up more of a squirming fight then the last lot.

Mina stands in guard to Jack, Kray tries to grapples the writhing vines, but the cluster is wily and avoids the Ogre's meaty mitts.

Circe sounds the retreat, even as she takes a shot at the cluster Kray was attempting to subdue. She blasts a chunk from the writhing vines. Which retreat from where they'd been (close to Kray) toward the relative safety of the tree.

Jack's whip flashes out, and he draws more sappy blood from the more injured cluster!

After the failed attack on Circe, the cluster of vines turns it's attention toward Mina! It rears up to spit once again....and fails! The Manikin's glacial armour tanks the neon spit.
