Lord Sages of the Unknown Reaches

The lord sages of the unknown reaches is an entitlement that me and Saber have discussed a little on Kray's sheet and as interesting as it is some notable issues were found, so I am presenting my thoughts at how to overcome those issues in the hopes of suggestions, edits, criticisms and so on from everyone to make a workable version. (That yes I am looking to use).

The problems:

1.With how cross over play is handled the entitlement does not really work RAW. The ability to pull allies/contacts and gear from other venues really infringes on the no reveal rule. (Cross over play is handled at the Nexus).

2. Tying into that it makes an a lot of work as each item needs to be individually considered, rules and interactions need to be known. Imbued items could cause paradoxes, the fetish could release hostile spirts which then need stats etc it is a lot. And given that not all imbued items or fetishes are created equal there exists very real potential to break the game.


My thoughts:

Take all of the features from the privilege and make them venue/setting specific. And still subject to appropriate RP and ST approval.

It is an attempt to maintain some of the theme of the entitlement, while making it more manageable and less likely to cause problems.

My thoughts on what that could look like:

1. +1 to persuasion and socialise rolls must be with one group found in the setting. (Ghosts, Spirits, hobs, Changelings, Hunters)*

2. Allies/Contacts must be with Groups or individuals found in the setting. Additionally The groups I think should be less broad then those used above e.g. You could have allies with the lost of a particular entitlement but not all changelings, or with one hedge market but not all hobs (you would need the hob kin merit for something similar to that) and you can't have it with the courts (you would need the court goodwill merit for something similar to that). And appropriate RP is necessary of course you can't just grab up allies in a hedge market you have never been to.

3. Merits from the book of spirits not limited to mortal only. They are available to everyone anyway, don't see a need to change this one. (Site house rules, restrictions and bans still apply)

4.Merits, Enhanced Item, the Imbued Item Merit, Library, or a werewolf fetish or talen specifically designed for the changeling to use, which is known as an Outsider Fetish.-- Remove all of these features (except library that one seems fine)

They could be replaced with something like allowing the purchase of the token merit up to 2 dots once a month. (If used to purchase goblin fruits or trifles the limit it 3 of the consumable/month and no mix and matching them) (xp must still be paid for all purchases)
