Circe had gotten an idea. A solution to a problem the gun runners had, instead of the Freehold.

Bullets nobody wants. 30 Carbine are used almost exclusively by cops, park rangers, and rancher types these days. All of whom had a legal means of getting said bullets, so the ten thousand the gun runners got a crate of were, well, kind of worthless. That and the fact there was only really one mass produced gun that used them.

But they also had a stock of worthless North Korean sort of AKs, almost anti-AK due to how unreliable and sometimes incomplete they were. Scrap metal in her opinion, but sellers market and all. Circe however had standards, so she borrowed ten of them to do some work. Not sure if it was recycling or up-cycling, Circe just called it work.

The process was slow going, taking Circe six hours to complete one project not even cutting some corners for the rifles. Someone else had done that plenty already, and that prideful Fairest nature was showing in her workmanship. The end result was she'd gotten three carbine variants of the NK-AK knockoffs all in the same new caliber. The mags even carried more after rechambering them, which would be a selling point, even if it was a PITA to do. Eight regular mags went from 30 to 41 round capacity. Though that wouldn't really sell it she thought. So, she came up with another idea to make the rifles enticing to buyers.

Barrel compensators, insulation padding, and electric tape. Helped with recoil, which wasn't much for a small carbine caliber already, but it was the look that'd help sell them. The guns would get outranged by an M1 Carbine, barely, if her math was right, might not be. Also, cheap to make those additions. Only reason she didn't bother for her own was the lack of sighting tools and that her only rifle that'd benefit from sighting had a silencer on it. Can't have both that and a compensator. Hmm, maybe she should add some padding to her own rifle and get a sighting tool.

Idea for later.

Circe proudly presented the now functional weapons to Leon and her compatriots. There ire was short lived as she reminded them the NK rifles were pretty much non-functional and these three were chambered into 30 carbine. The ammo they'd a few thousand bullets of that they couldn't sell.

Full-auto weapons in an ammo only they could supply in a sellers market had potential.

Circe was willing to stake money on this helping to get rid of a lot of the bullets.

She was right: a cartel bought the guns and three-thousand of the bullets. A good sale.
