Walking through the doors, with its familiar guided escort as false life flushes through her body. Knowing all to well that her presence both here as well as socializing had been down as of late, a shame on a record already lacking.

Raven black hair worn long, lips painted red with matching eye shadow as green eyes looks out over the room in a bit of a surprise to find it far emptier than she would have thought.

Walking through the room with a couple of nods towards the ones in attandence, waiting to see if it would be a calm night.

"And don't forget to call me back tomorrow evening. I mean it this time." Reverend Otto Schneider hung up his phone and shoved it into his breast pocket, hoping to find some reprieve from business matters as he entered Elysium. By God, they'll give a business degree to anyone whose family has makes an endowment, these days. Even as the mixed signals of revulsion and superiority washed over him, it felt good to have an excuse to put the world of kine out of his mind for a short while.

He had thrown on an overcoat to fit in with the season. Sure, he might not have actually felt the cold, but he had to at least pretend. It didn't take him too long to notice the other Kindred of influence in the room, though he did offer polite greetings to a few others in attendance as he crossed the room towards Alicia. "Priscus Silvers, a pleasure to see you this evening. It has been too long."

Keeping her position, eyes looking around at the ones that mostly kept to the backgrounds, the night seeming slow and to become a rather dull one. Not really a night worthy to be present it seems.

Offering a nod towards the ones looking towards her, about to leave, perhaps she could still manage to get a few hours of studies in before setting up the playlist for this nights sleep as eyes lands on her fellow Priscus. Nodding to him with an accordance to his status, slightly cocking her head on its way up.
"Priscus Schneider, now is this a treat that has become far to rare in recent nights. How has the season been treating you?" Especially now that the infernal summer had passed.

Otto returned the nod of respect, acknowledging Alicia's social standing. "I have been well, as of late, as has Moore House." Sometimes it seemed that the well-being of the Priest and the Sanctum's main holding were synonymous. "The Domain has been quiet or late, which has afforded me the opportunity to expand my horizons, a little." He made a sweeping gesture towards the rest of the Court. "I've had a few intriguing encounters with the Prince, much more amicable than before. So, how have you and your Clan faired, of late?"

Throwing a glance out around the people, it was not the norm to hear others bring it up so it did seem his efforts there were the main force behind it. At least on a surface level.
"Excellent news to hear."

Following the trail of the man's gesture.
"Wise ways to spend your time, have you found something good in your expanding horizons?" Conversations could always open up an infinite road of paths and events, so could near any chance encounter.
"Strides towards expansion in my chosen areas have been progressing well, despite the lack of available resources. Far to few chances to engage in others sadly enough." Giving the Reverend an enigmatic look, her clan matters was not something she had any intention to discuss.

"Believe it or not, I've started investing in art. I admit, it was initially an excuse to make some money and start a conversation, but I've become genuinely interested in it." Otto smiled wryly. "Call it an attempt at being cultures." Other Priests might sneer at engaging in 'worldly' pursuits, but the Ventrue made a point of not blindly following typical clerical attitudes.

He nodded slightly at the clipped response regarding her Clan. Alicia had been reliable and straightforward in their past dealings. She was probably the closest thing he had to a friend in the Domain. If she didn't want to discuss something that was, frankly, not intended for outsiders, he wouldn't pry. "We have to take what steps we can, even if it doesn't look like we're making great progress towards our goals. 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,' I think is the saying." The Lord shrugged casually at his fellow Priscus.

"Forgive me if it's an unusual question, but do you typically celebrate the winter holidays?" His tone implied he was asking out of curiosity rather than trying to provoke a particular response.

Art, now that was hardly a surprise but did just mean a venture back to leaning on the oldest parts of her mind once more.
"Any particular kind of art that tickles your fancy? An era or medium or are you still finding your way?" There were to many things that could be considered art, especially all the stupid stuff as of late. "There are some fascinating topics in art history for combination with authentication." That was more enjoyable than the art itself.

Thankful for the lack of prying, not a topic that was to be spoken for just the masses alone, this was not exactly the place where they could speak as if they were alone.
"Time is our ally, to rush is seldom a wise choice in the long run. When possible utilize that fact, without forgetting what it means to not have it on your side." Cause it wouldn´t be in all that they did.

Now that was surprising, not a question she had expected. Looking towards the door, leaving a silence between them without a breath for just a smidge to long before turning her eyes back to him.
"That is a hard question, to give you a short answer so would I say that I am not opposed to neither Christmas, Hanukkah nor Saturnalia or many others but without those to celebrate it with so do I not seek it out." Last one having been nothing more than a long walk through the city.

"I'm still exploring that myself." The Priest replied. "So far, in my limited exposure, I think I prefer the Baroque style." Granted, Otto had only a limited exposure to a few styles of painting. It probably played a large part in his few definite opinions thus far. "I can understand there being a certain... exhilaration with authenticating a piece of history." He couldn't help but smile as his mind went to the antique rosary he had managed to acquire not long ago.

"True, but I don't want to let that become an excuse to be slothful." The Ventrue said with a shrug. "I suppose I just like to stay busy, when I can." He raised an eyebrow slightly at the Daeva's slightly eclectic collection of holidays but his expression wasn't judgmental. "I don't do much around the time of year myself, maybe a few additional prayers but no special celebrations." When he was putting on a mask in front of kine he would pretend otherwise, but not amongst other Kindred. "The birth of Christ isn't technically a Sanctified holiday, you see. I'll spare you the whole theological discussion, but it fascinates me at times how many of us hold on to certain traditions out of habit. It's usually younger Damned, but I've met a few who maintain regular holiday celebrations anyway." Another shrug. "I just find it interesting, what we choose to hold on to and what we let go."

The Nosferatu then moved into the Elysium proper. Her neck and part of her shoulder were obscured with a black silk wrap. She wore an elegant A line dress.
