Munchies and Movies

[Circe]

Circe's condominium has a few advantages for gatherings. Sizeable. Defensible. Three bathrooms. Comfortable seating for 9 with the 50-inch flat screen. And a serving table for less comfortable seating and food distrubtion. Per her offer to quite a few folks, Circe is hosting a movie night, with victuals not "cooked" by her. Pizza, appetizers, drinks both G and R rated, cookies, and raw veggies in case anyone was a health nut. It was quite the spread. And she technically didn't "cook" one of the dessert platters., still covered. Most Lost knew the address, and it was near a bus route, 20-minute walk, for those that neither drove nor had trust for cabbies. There is however oooooone little problem with Circe playing host. Her movie selection was vast, also streaming, but the question remained if she would badger folks into watching something action/gore filled or acquiesce to votes for other options.
In her defense, she missed out on the plethora of action-overkill movies since she got nabbed in the 1980s. It wasn't like she JUST wanted to have most of the weapons in those movies.

[Mina]

The Elemental wasn’t sure what to bring exactly, having never really been to one of these before. So she went with something easy, candy, because she had a ton of that, a variety, based off the info she had gathered. She had paid attention to what people had bought and had mentioned what was their favorite for a reason. Also in her bag, a bottle of Jeppson Malort, something she had mentioned bringing.

Arriving at the address, dressed in a comfortable pink two-piece sweatsuit, she knocks on Circes door. No lie, she was nervous, this was a Monarchs home, the Summer Monarch at that. So a deep breath was taken, she could do this, Circe was awesome.

Circe hears the knocking, well time to start it seems. Circe opens the door, dressed in a loose business shirt and trousers. She has a LOT of suits. And tis Mina that is the first to arrive. "Ah, first catch of the night, is dressed to be a brilliant sight, come in come in," she motions with mirth for Mina to enter, "Platter on the table to the right."

Rhyming took timing. It wasn't as fun as a pun, but she amused herself. And more desserts/snacks was welcome. It would keep. Hmmm. Pink was a decent color for Mina. "Good color choice, bee tee dubs." And will close the door if no more are forseen to be coming.

[Svelte Sven]

Sven found himself wondering if he was starting to resemble Alice's White Rabbit as he rushed to make his appointment. The Winter courtier fast-walked towards the address he had committed to memory, eyes darting across his surroundings to make absolutely certain he wasn't missing his destination. He was dressed in a suit and bowtie, a mundane set rather than his Hedgespun piece, and tightly gripping a bottle of 'Rumple Minze'-brand peppermint schnapps to his breast, which probably made him look rather strange as he fretted about for his destination. She probably won't have me punished for being late. Probably. Circe was many things, but by all accounts, she didn't seem like a strict hostess. Also, the Darkling wasn't actually sure if he was late or not, as he hadn't had a chance to check the time since he'd left for the event. Still, certain habits were hard to shake off.

To his relief, he saw someone he thought looked like Mina enter a door that bore the address he had memorized. After taking a few seconds to compose himself, mostly wiping away a thin sheen of sweat from his brow and straightening his toe, the thin man tucked the bottle under his arm and knocked on the door. "It's Sven." He announced plainly. "Sorry if I'm late." He added as another rivulet of sweat ran down his forehead.

[Circe]

Circe smirks as she sees Sven arrive, "Nah man, you are silver medal! Get in here!" She ushers in her second guest. That was better than all the food going to two, which would only work with some Ogres.

[Mina]

A smile offered, “Hey! And thanks!” walking in, looking to the table, “I wasn’t sure what to bring, so I brought candy, and something to drink.” Placing the bag on the table. “Thank you! I decided to go for something comfortable for the night. And nice place!” the Summer Queen seemed to be doing well for herself.

Hearing the knock, and hearing Sven announce himself, she offers a small wave and a smile, “Hey!” glad to see he made it.

[Svelte Sven]

Circe's welcoming tone accompanied by Mina's own greeting made the Darkling feel momentarily silly. He wasn't sure why he had worked himself up so much, but clearly his fellow Lost were not aiming to belittle him or make snide remarks at his expense. Sven chuckled sheepishly as he stepped over the threshold, placing his alcoholic offering alongside the rest of the drinks. The Winter courtier absently smoothed over his coat before finding somewhere to sit.

"So... is it just us tonight?" He asked.

[Circe]

"Thank you. Always a good plan, both usually keep Mina," then looks around outside, watching for anyone else she might recognize. Correction, anyone else she might recognize from the Freehold. Local mundy brats, idiots, and good neighbors are not sought by her sight. If any Freeholders were pulling that trick she did with the ghillie suit that one time, props! They are successful.

"I don't know Sven," she shrugs as she shuts the door. "Usually, free movie and food attracts quite a few folks from the Freehold. Like a few I'm sure some foods would work for a box and string trap," which wasn't even a joke. Though the situation would be in jest, as it'd be obvious and done for humor. "Meat, veggies, dessert," she points to what is where, "Cups for drinks. NA Italian fizzy imports or various boozes, plus two," she held up a single finger, "Thank you Mina. Sven. Gorge yourselves now or after we figure out what film to watch."

After a moment she shrugs, "Unless you two want to see if others show up."

This Scene will also only be open until Dec 20th so it'll Close just before the Winter Solstice! (Dec 21st)

Finding herself a cookie to munch on, she looks to Sven, “Looks like it,” shrugging, “at least so far. Maybe more are on the way!” you never know.

Nodding, “Also figured both were safe to bring.” Picking up the bag with the candy, “I got the candy that everyone said they liked.” Taking it out of the bag and placing it on the table.

Glancing at the table as Circe asked a question, “We could always have a snack or a drink and discuss which movie to watch for, give people a couple extra minutes to show up?”
