A second lesson

Sighing.
”At the end of the day we are human, and do as humans do. We argue, we interpret and try to find narratives that best suits our views.” Slowly shaking her head. ”It is understandable but really quite disheartening, we have enough external threats to worry about to have arguments over these kinds of matters. It only divides and weakens us.”

Looking a bit surprised.
”Huh?” Blinking at him a bit surprised. ”My question was asked, my request to wait was to let me think about the Socratian method and if I could place that one down. I have no other questions regarding this matter at this point in time.” Looking to the books underneath her table, having done little else but studying on her not active work hours as of late.

It was what it was and certainly better then if no Lex existed at all. "The road to hell is paved with the best intentions and then add in hubris, ego and corruption in a society where each individual and each grouping believes they alone have the most correct version of the trust hand well." Conflict was an inevitable as it was going to get. "There is a reason the right of nemesis exists and the duel arcane has such a prominent and respected place in our society." Smarter minds then his had sought ways to mitigate the damage said conflict could cause.

A nod given the arrow had stopped herself it seemed pertinent to check if there had been more to the question. "Yes the method is one that utilises questions to help someone arrive at a desired destination on their own, sometimes by requiring justification but skilled practitioners can use it with more subtle." Socrates himself if the man had even existed had questioned his way into drinking hemlock if the story was to be believed.

Letting out a little chuckle.
”True, I have always heard it said to be good intentions though but thats semantics.” Really didn´t matter. ”Well we are humans who know that we are living in a lie, and whom have gleamed aspects of a truth grander than many minds can begin to fathom.” A light shrug. ”That hubris would settle in, and that we would come to argue is not surprising at all. If done right it can even be beneficial, yet it likely births more issues than we need only serving to give things that are a danger to us room to grow instead.” A solemn nod. ”That I never doubted, yet it is not one that to my ears sounds like it should be invoked lightly.” No it had a weight to it that should be respected.

Exhaling in a bit of relief before looking out the window for a brief moment.
”I am glad I got that right, however I see that we have been at this for a while. Perhaps we should save the Iron and the roles and expectations of the cabals themselves for another lesson, maybe some time this summer should we both be free?”

[Chambers]

An issue of semantics indeed. "I trust the point got across regardless of the version of that turn of phrase we are familiar with." And there was a lesson there two for those who knew what to look for.

But yes time had marched on. "I can't promise an exact date but yes we can have another lesson." He will stand to start making his way out. "Thank you for hosting, I hope you found it beneficial." No hand offered it just wasn't really the done thing after all.

A simple nod in answer feeling no need to say anything else on the matter.
”Let´s play it by ear, I believe that works best with the current state of things.” Getting up and looking over his seating place, hesitating for a moment before looking back to him. ”I might be going an extra mile here but would you like me to utilize my skills in the Life arcana to remove anything biological you might accidentally have left behind?” Maybe a bit much but he was worried about pollen before.

Offering her guest a soft smile.
”I did, once again thank you for taking the time it is highly appreciated. Before you leave though would you mind recommending me something to read in the honor of studying in general? I have been trying to broaden my general knowledge base and insight, so any recommendations would be highly appreciated.” Looking towards the door. ”Kindly allow me to walk you out.”

The offer was well intentioned but ultimately not his call. "It is your sanctum you do as you see fit." He wouldn't make it easy by taking unnecessary risks but even simple contact caused sympathy. If Skye wanted to show good faith by removing as much as possible well it was a comforting gesture. Her last question was worded a little strangely. "It is good you want to study but general knowledge is a very very broad area." And would need alot of narrowing down. "Pick a fallen culture and study it. Learn its history, its economics, its beliefs all the context you can and from their understand why it is no longer part of the world today." The topic more a reason to develop contextual analysis then actually learn anything useful but skills were good to.

Following here first back to his shoes which he puts on then to the door. "Thank you. Keep well." And The Moros will leave.
