"Hmph," Circe chuckles as she knows what Withers means. "I know that saying. Don't bribe the Captain of the Royal Guard. Just the underpaid janitor with the key to the back door."


She'd follow through for sure if Withers wanted to. After healing up more though. She wasn't that crazy and stupid. Recounting until she was less ouch filled.


"Some games have chance as a larger factor," Circe points out to Withers. "Cunning and strategy mean naught whence thine fate can be twisted like yarn in the paws of a half dozen kittens. Aaaaand now I have a cute image in my head, curses."

[Mina]

Oh, an audience. That wasn’t the mirrors or even students if she had agreed to teach that day.

She wasn’t sure how she felt about that, having another Lost watch her dance. “Maybe, we’ll have to see.” A smile offered. She’d have to get over that at some point, right? And thus far, Vincent seemed like a nice enough guy. Maybe she’d give it a bit first.

Back to enjoying the food and watching the game, she was sad to see her Queen lost, but she played one hell of a game! “Good game Queen Sonnie! Well played!” she cheers, “And congrats Kray! Some good moves there.” Though she still thinks Sonnie should have won, Kray did out play Sonnie. But it was a close one!

[Svelte Sven]

With an easy smile, Sven decided to retrieve his plate of food before joining the other courtiers in watching the Vernal and Ashen Sovereigns match wits. Aside from occasionally picking at his large pile of rice with his chopsticks, Sven's mouth remained closed, and his eyes fixed on the game. Nevertheless, his ears perked up whenever a player started speaking. An expected outcome. He thought as the game concluded.

Though he eyed the newest Spring courtier as he passed, the Whisperwisp settled a short distance away from his own Court's King. He had caught a few smatterings of his conversation with Circe. "If I were a betting man, and I'm not, I wouldn't want to bet against you." He said to Withers. "In a game where you're not strictly keeping time, I feel that cunning gives way to intellect."

He chuckled slightly at Circe's comments about chance. "I know they say, 'it's better to be lucky than good', but I don't think that's a reliable strategy." Though, when you could rely on certain Contracts, it wasn't completely unreliable either...

[Sonnie Wu]

"Thank you, thank you," the Beast waved to her adoring fans the gathered freeholders as she returned from her epic checkers match. A smile was flashed at Mina, fangs and all. "Thanks! I'll be sure to get him next time! And next time will be... Monopoly!" Oh yeah, she's losing that game, too.

The Spring Queen looked around, clearly in a good mood, "I hope you all play some games, too. I tried to get as many kinds as I could manage. There's Life, and Clue, and D&D, and beer pong!" The best kind of pong, no doubt.

[Vincent Black]

Vincent looks to Sonnie, "I will play you some beer pong!!" He had never played before but it always looked fun, and gave a reason to drink a lot of beer.

The Lost of Sacramento went on, celebrating and playing games, well into the night. Spring has sprung!
