The touch of the abyss is warning enough for most mages to be cautious in their castings and as Winter so rightly says even the Seers respect those unwritten laws ... to a degree.
A scowl from Cartwright. "Maybe we intervened to early, should have let him take a few more hits." Winter's wondering and even implication that maybe that had been part of the plan, slipping right past the angry enchanter.
Looking up. "A building blew up the other week, gas explosion or something the paper said." More just latching onto the topic. "So that wasn't up covering something or or?" Some seers absolutely would they concern for the lives and well being of those caught in their schemes being stereotypically lower then the pentacle. Some Seers are even rumoured to terrorise sleepers for fun.
A shake of his head. "I told you I got nothing I didn't see visions, or hear voices or whatever it is I am meant to have happen. I don't know anything else." Paradox's are know to weaken spells so maybe Cartwright's was overcome entirely.
