Kray need not worry about his car, for the borrower is actually a good driver. And knows not to speed when keeping a low profile. He and Sonja can rest easy in that she got the cargo to the destination without being caught. Even whilst on the phone and driving at the same time.
The pet mortuary had been expecting another call from Circe. Her reputation and all that. The call wasn't unexpected, the cash was quite welcome too, but there seemed to be some confusion. The guys in the know shuffled out the ignorant dupes. Preparation was made for a corpse to shove into the oven or to be hacked up into smaller portions for the same. Efficient, discrete, and capable of corpse disposal without arrest.
Circe's arrival in an unknown car wasn't unexpected. Nor the trash bags, which made them nervous. Violent reputation, plus multiple trash bags equals action movie scene cleanup. Which would cause serious worries, though this quickly gave way to confusion.
Mostly because they didn't expect her to come by, pay them off, and take part in committing a misdemeanor involving misuse of the crematorium for pets. As in, so low crime they'd probably just have a fine or community service. Not both, either or as the crime was that low on the totem pole. The crew really didn't expect her to bring a dozen trash bags of thick roots instead of corpse bits.
Still a crime, but not a serious one and not expected from a psycho like Circe.
The staff were less confused and more concerned at Circe's, well, eagerness to see the bunches of roots burn. One answer she had given was, "Fanculo il fottuto giardino che infesta i cespugli!"
And promptly backed off at the enraged Italian. Circe wasn't even faking, as the Rust had been a major irritant for her position as Groundskeeper since it started. Being a parting gift from Ann, at least as far as Circe was concerned, was a major factor in her rage. Verbalizing this was quite therapeutic. And not all the heat was coming from the crematorium. The Summer Queen was venting her Mantle and rage enough to make the mortal nervous.
Sadly for them, the incinerator isn't large enough to handle all the roots at once. Meaning?
Circe is sticking around to ensure it all burns over several attempts.
At the third batch, the Summer Queen cheers at the prospect of burning more: "Oh ho ho ho.E' vero. Brucia la tua dannata erba. Friggere nella cenere, per non diffondere mai più spore. Brucia i tuoi inutili stivali di merda di vite. Oh ho ho ho!"
As for the questions of why she was burning this here instead of in some dumpster or something? Well, she has an answer to that. "Oh ho ho, shut up and take my money."
A few more Benjamins withdrew their objections, though not there fear. Whilst some tried to alleviate it by implying she'd done all this for the chance to use THAT line, it had the opposite affect. Armed, violent, cracked in the head, and impulsive enough to do all this for the sake of a bit?
Kray would've loved to feed off the fear of the mortal staffers. Hopefully Circe doesn't brag about it too much when she returns his car.
ooc: Saber Sloth , here is Circe's antics at disposing of the roots. Make it weird, and nobody asks questions. For their own safety.
