    Lionell Salem
    Phoenyx Xadun

Winter pushes the door open and the feeling that crashes through the open door is a cold and malevolent chill, a sense of utter darkness overwhelming and endless, not a void, not nothing, the clear and presence awareness of the very tangible and real sense of darkness itself a manifest thing in truth. The shadows are to deep, the stretch to far something that could only really be appreciated once it is experienced. Into this spartan space of the opposite of light they go. Winter, Corn, Philip and Salem.

Philip spends several seconds aiming the spell, as he allows the fates to eddy and flux around him seeking the calm in the chaos, the pattern in the indiscernible, and casts out a prophecy into the supernal winds of arcadia. He wants to know what must come to pass to prevent the text messages compromising the mages who sent them. He sees the image of satellite dishes spanning the city attached to buildings, of red bleeping lights picking up and redirecting the near infinite stream of information high way of reams and reams of computer data storing itself into logs processing and picking out key words in dark rooms, the room goes fully dark, silent and still, all lights and all electronics dead, that is what he must achieve to safeguard his device.

Phoenyx unseen an silent has run of the compound the nearest building has a what looks like a dead body outside it wit ha group clustered around, workers run pipes out of the middle building in a buzz of activity and the furthest building is still without power.

Dark shadows scatter in ordered symmetrical patterns traversed by a crackling pallid silver light that wraps Winter in a pleasantly numbing and icy coldness.
When vulgar magic is cast, the frequency of the oscillation of the dark fluid surges until the shadows arrange themselves in a solid black halo around Winter's head, the white light darkens into a fiery black sunlight and his eyes are set ablaze with vivid incandescence.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

The Obrimos is unafraid of darkness, as he has inscribed his name in everlasting light in the book of flaming aether. Gesturing for his companions to pause with one hand, he begins drawing unusual symbols in the air with the other, before retrieving the flashlight from his pocket. Having spoken his incantation in the language of the Dragon, a blinding light finally bursts forth from the portable torch in his grasp, ready to banish all.

Philip, focused on his prophecy, saw the vision of blinking antennas, satellites, data, and a specific dark server room that had to be shut down at an unknown amount of time in the future. If this could come to pass, in whatever way, then they would be safe. Or at least, from being compromised in that way. Knowing there was another bunch of ways for them to get compromised in different ways. Locating the server room with his lack of Space would be difficult however. Many components were missing. Time and space coordinates of the blacked out server room in his vision, and how it could be shut down with as little of a trace as possible. Would a blackout via a cut power line be enough, assuming the right power line could be found? And how could said line then be cut? Was an electromagnetic pulse in the vicinity of the server room needed? Or could some humans be manipulated to cut the power for an entirely differen reason in order to black out the server room? His thoughts weighed heavily on his mind as he contemplated his options. What of this could he reveal to his fellows? Or, should he reveal? But he did decide to reveal some. Quietly whispering to his fellows, but especially to reassure Corn and himself, he said:
"We need to black out a specific server room an unknown time from now however we can, to prevent being exposed through the text messages. I`ll try to find out more."

Nevertheless, he followed Winter into the darkness. But suddenly, after barely hearing Winter utter in what in his considered opinion had to be High Speech, he noticed the almost blinding light banish the darkness they were entering and almost blinding him. And that was despite still covering his face with his hands like Corn had suggested earlier. And Philip was annoyed. However the sudden brightness came to be, it could give away their position to mundanes if they could see the bright beacon associated with it. And that was something they did not need. Still, he figured. Let`s just see what the future holds. I didn`t cause this potential problem, so someone else can fix it. I`m more interested in removing the digital paper trail.

With his vision now clearly in his mind and known to him, he ended Prophecy. He knew he would need to obtain info on this objective. The room to be blacked out. After all, messing with something this big always came with huge strings attached from Fate, after all. If he was going to go through with it, which he still wasn`t sure of. Still, as he ended Prophecy, he took another good, intent look at his surroundings, trying to find out what was going on in the strange place he now found himself.

Corn nods to Philip 's word once but quietly says "You plan to knock down much of the electronic communications in Sacramento, like those Cyber-attacks in 2016 and 2021? " He was not sure those hackers were innocent; he had his suspicions that the God-machine or another global supernatural conspiracy may have been involved. That it could be just a Libertine or Seer or, well, Guardian, knocking out the communications to hide something was something he hadn't considered at the time. To this day, he refuses to believe it could be the Mysterium's anti-technology radicals.
Lives were destroyed those days. Many lives. "Be careful, if you go that way. Such disruptions may bring much more attention than what we do here. Those FBI hunters would look into something that disrupts communications in the capital of California."

Then, Winter makes light, blinding light. Corn turns his head and shuts his eyes for a moment, opening them just a bit first to adjust and then blinking.
Looking at Salem he asks, "do you sense any malevolent intelligence or presence here? Well, aside of what all of us feel. Can you discern the nature of that ... aura around this place, for lack of a better word?" He stops short before asking the Mastigos if he can shield them from the oppressive emotions. Boldly Winter may stand in the oppressive, malevolent darkness, but he would prefer to not feel it. This feels quite like Stygia, to the point he considers to check whether this is a demense for a moment.
As for himself, he ties to bring a combined spell to allow him both see entities but also scrutinize the nature of whatever is around them, check for atlantean magic. But the oppressive darkness is a bit too much and the spells fail.

Thus, taking more time to aim his spells in the tapestry of fate, he casts them separately.

I thought the room was windowless and the door is no longer transparent.
I don't think Corn has more time to scrutinize / look for entities.

Salem pauses when Winter makes the gesture to hold them back. He moves to cover his eyes as the Obrimos increases the light his flashlight is giving off. There's a small hiss of discomfort from the Warlock as covering his eyes doesn't really do anything as his sense of sight is a free floating presence above him. He tries to protect himself from it as it's too bright for his night vision and he instead allows that to fade away, sinking his sight back into his eyes for the moment. He blinks a few times to get rid of the spots dotting his vision.

When Corn suggests that he try to discern if there is a presence causing this feeling for them, he nods and starts to whisper in High Speech. The Moros might not have asked about shielding them from the effects that they all seem to be experiencing, which is good, as the Warlock doesn't have sufficient mastery in Mind magics to share that protection. He is able to do it for himself though

    Mental Shield (failure)

Perhaps he's distracted with the feelings being imposed by him, but the first attempt at bringing the imago into being fails. He attempts again, after another moment of High Speech.

    Mental Shield (3 successes)

With the mental shield in place, he closes his eyes and starts to whisper again. He tries to combine the imagos of both opening his Third Eye as well as Sense Consciousness around him.

    Combined Spell (1 success)

He's not able to make the two spells combine at the moment but he does open his Third Eye, looking around him for a moment to try to see if he can sense anything around them.
